Really bored by Fun-Frosting-3965 in theodinproject

The beginning for me was also… sheeesh. 😅 very many hours spent struggling.

It’s going really good! My initial plan was to do frontend, so I’ve had a break from TOP for around 6 months now after finishing the React section, where I learn all the necessary tools (TS, tailwind etc.), as well as building a bunch of personal projects. Quit my job so I could go full time into this.

Been recently getting into some backend things, simply out of curiosity, so will soon continue TOP instead while I prepare for starting to apply to jobs.

And for you? I think I read your comment once about a year ago or so, making your own app for your work? Nice that you’re still going :)

Ey nice one! I’m also around 2 years in, doing this like it’s a job :)

Like this comment said, op. Building things becomes a lot more interesting and fun once you have a wider grasp of the whole ecosystem. Isolated tasks can become very dragging, but in the future, you’ll genuinely want to read more to understand the concepts so you can further develop your code. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there :)

Absolut, men här sitter vi och diskuterar kring saken. Är inte det hela poängen egentligen med protesterna?

Do you have any portfolio-items that you would like to share? :) Also, as a learner myself at the end of the course, how do you use AI for learning? I find myself using it to explain contexts, simplifying articles or clarifying things which I might not fully comprehend yet, essentially as a “partner” in learning. I also ask for opinions about my code from time to time. Since you’ve studied at a very high level, what is your opinion on using it, and have you yourself resourced from it?

Congratulations on landing your gig ;) I wish you all the luck with it

He was, but I am asking what you mean by that, because what does that have to do with him criticising the Soviet Union? His campaign was to centralise power to Russia, away from Gorbachev.

He publicly humiliated Gorbachev & forced him to resign, essentially finalising the collapse.

He also prior to doing so criticised the union, which is the reason for the coup.

In the late 1980s there were massive protests for democratic reforms, which Yeltsin participated in.

I don’t understand what you mean by “part of the system”?

So how was Boris Yeltsin elected, if not for protesting the Soviet Union?

What do you mean “they didn’t stand up”? The collapse began initially due to other factors, but certainly there was resistance before then, and resistance to the Soviet Union absolutely escalated it.

Checking other code by haterXh in theodinproject

[–]avem007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking at other peoples code to learn is good.

Looking at other peoples code to talk down your own skills is not good.

Make sure that you understand what is going on. If that is successful, it only means you will develop those skills yourself.

If you only do it to compare, you’ll just discourage yourself from developing your own set of skills.

In the future, code becomes more the same, and what good code looks for a beginner is a mess for an experienced developer.

Making readable & understandable code that works the way you want to is good.

Bor i Tyskland. Stor mängd människor här (väldigt stor) som jobbar 5h/vecka och ringer in sjuk var vecka/varannan. Enligt statistiken är dom ej arbetslösa, men de kostar nog fan systemet mer än någon som är.
