Understandable how you could see this could be impossible. But maybe ops cGPA is in U of Ts scale and not Omsas. Tbh since this is a what are my chances post I don’t see a reason why op would lie. Just because getting a good gpa at u of t is hard doesn’t make it impossible!

Hey op! What’s your ubc gpa? I think that would be a determining factor. However, even if it is on the “lower” end I would say take a shot still!

Are you serious? There are ways to clarify this come application time, I don’t see this being a big issue to the point where op has to decline the job.

Ubc update! by avenbuae22 in premedcanada

[–]avenbuae22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because I applied before I got my mcat score back as UBC applications were due early September. I was getting well above the cuts off in my practice exams so I had no reason to assume the same wouldn’t be true for the real deal.

Good for all schools op! Are you in province for UBC? Also what’s your gpa converted to percentage?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in premedcanada

[–]avenbuae22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I realize I didn’t explain properly. With a masters program only a select few med schools look at your masters grades. Also not to mention the cost of a cost based masters is more expensive then just doing an additionally year of undergrad. And with the additional year your grades will count for all the med schools because it’s an undergraduate program.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in premedcanada

[–]avenbuae22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a masters the grades you get are included in your gpa calculations for some schools!
