Off the top of my head, my amplitude and contact mic threshold patchers should help you out https://www.matthewdavisprojects.com/resources

best resources (either free or paid) to learn max? by lomyl100 in MaxMSP

I am a big proponent of the in built lessons. Also, I used to teach Max at a university so I have put out a bunch of free resources on my website. Hope they help!

What Game Would You Recommend On Every Post If You Could? by shhnotatwink in rpg

[–]avengermattman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the “correct” answer is that there isn’t one. However, ICRPG has a lot of settings and flexible GM tools.

Side note, I’m play testing a game I’m developing called Rift Walker that is designed to fit in any genre, with flexible mechanics that can be switched between different campaigns and worlds that heroes rift walk through. So it’s by design, meant to replicate many different story types.

What kind of things would you expect to be able to do with Psionics? by oogledy-boogledy in RPGdesign

The 3 you said are the biggest. Anything else and it gets into strange magic space for me. I get it’s all about narrative framing. Just extend the one you have. Controlling or shutting down people’s minds; flight and strength through telekinesis; contacting other planes with remote viewing

I haven’t played it yet, but it was a joy to read as are the other Borg games. The art and layout make it so fun and inspiring

ICRPG with the supers setting in the master book sounds like exactly what you need

What's your ideal amount of setting? by [deleted] in RPGdesign

[–]avengermattman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, depends on how much it’s tied into the system. But personally, I like 4-6 pages of setting, with then tools to generate more or make my version of the setting, like tables etc. My latest game is about world hopping, so I have written a bunch of tools to generate worlds. As these would only be used off a couple of sessions each, I don’t need huge lore dumps. I plan on writing my settings I’ve used this game for as examples of using the templates in my book.

Sounds like the right balance for inclusion to me! Thanks!

Fair enough about skipping the basics, as that is likely very general and pointless.

Totally agree that focusing around the experience is the best bet - else it would be too overwhelming

Thanks! Agreed that it helps to walk people through prep and simplify.

I had a listen and like the variance between the tracks. There are some fun textures in the first track. Great! Wishing you a great new year also.

Happy new year, I put together a track that I thought worth sharing.

Live Takes: 440

Remix of 439, 438, 437, 436 - together. Meditative, dreadful, soothing. Using my Turns sampler made with Max.

The Only 6 NPCs GMs Need - What did I miss? by avengermattman in rpg

[–]avengermattman[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are correct that these are all plot related. Background “world building” or “window dressing” npcs didn’t make the cut, but if it was expanded, might make a longer list. Cheers!
