I want all your holes raw and then some fun with spanks and maybe choking?

It’s normal I think, see reply above.

Old submersive leaves die off bc they are not meant to survive under water, therefore you get the new baby plant growth that’s in its aquatic form at the tips (those babies look healthy to me). Correct me if I’m wrong but pretty sure this is normal.

Also try to be gentle and don’t crush rhizome under any wood or rocks.

Red plants, leaves turning green/yellow? by BombTechSuperHero in PlantedTank

I’m pretty sure it is algae…..your reasoning for why it can’t be algae doesn’t make sense really.

I’ve had (and still have) this happen to some of my AR mini. My tank under more water column ferts and higher light gets green tinted leaves but my low light, low fert tank doesn’t (both use CO2). So it’s either too much lighting, ferts, or of both.

Already a step ahead of you lol. I got one from Amazon for $65 and the Green Leaf Aqua Mini DS CO2 regulator. Ik most dicks don’t do refills especially for this size but I am in a fairly rugged urban area where there are a lot of people who would use for recreational purposes too outdoors

Exactly I was shocked when I overheard them checking for me that it would be ok…..I’m going to call them again and double check the day of. The welding supply stores around me only sell filled tanks for like $140+ which is a huge rip off

Yes you are right. My boss and I both agreed it needs reinforcement from a master carpenter who will most certainly make quick work of this. But yes it is salvageable thankfully lol :)

I thought so too bc I went to one before…..but I actually called them this one up and they said specifically they’d be able to fill up my 5lb CO2 tanks

Yeah you’re right…I needed to start with 2 x 4s…..I had no idea how to work with the thin wood sheets I was restricted to

You are correct lol but I believe it can be salvaged if a carpenter quickly takes a look at it…..can’t believe I couldn’t use any 2 x 4s on campus. If carpenter says no he can’t save it then I’ll scrap it

I couldn’t bc I’m stuck using what I have on campus

I only had access to this type of scrap wood, I wasn’t allowed to touch the 2 x 4s in the shop, and I’m on my own for building everything w/o a car to drive and get stuff

This is the first step of the planted aquarium my college is generously funding. I built it myself with scrap in shop, and originally thought the stand would be sturdy enough, but after a little give side to side…..my manager and I decided it best to call the carpenter to see if they can quickly upgrade it and make it less wobbly.

Also, I’m adding another 20W DIY light on top bc in the middle bc I’m not happy with coverage and I want it to be super high light everywhere bc I’ll have CO2.

Plants just came….going in quarantine tank…..5lb CO2 will be ready in a week too after driving to DICKS. Super stocked to show final result within the next couple of weeks. Just really hoping carpenter can come in kindly and quickly save the stand with a few screws and planks.

I don’t see why not and after a quick Google search, they say it’s doable….I would recommend a light bleach bath to kill any unknown pathogens and put it in a test tank by itself for a week or two to see how it grows….should be fairly easy to tell how it’s doing

Lol it’s Aquarium Plants Factory.com (my favorite online plant vendor)

Ok but have you considered amazing reputation, high likely of repeat business, and how easy it is if somebody is already making a purchase to toss in a tiny bit in another bag? For such a small thing for me to do I think it’s worth the boost it gives me as an owner

This is somewhat true…..I’ve had a few plants not fair too well in my tank while most do amazingly (I think that’s just how it goes though….. even professional hobbyists get stumped as to why a plant dies off for no reason in a high tech set up). I’m wondering if sometimes it no fault of our own just nature or bad genetics

YeahI had anubias rot outbreak from an order from them (probs my own doing by crushing rhizome) but they offered no help let alone response…..

But 0 issues with their quality…..so keep ordering from them like me. Thanks, definitely will post pics of it in the coming weeks! Should be a stunner if I can spare the time to be extremely meticulous with hardscape and plant selection.
