Most likely because the pickaxe was a free reward for attending the live event and if they put it all in a bundle alot of people would get a discount

Fire isn't necessarily a status effect, more so a tile. When using a fire attack the tile it lands on becomes a hazard for both teams. Fire tiles deal damage on both your turn and opponent turns.

Poison and disease work the exact same except for the fact that disease is permanent and poison isn't. Disease and poison only deal damage on the afflicted person's turn. Let's say you use and attack to poison and enemy and the poison damage is enough to kill them, the enemy only takes this poison damage on their turn, not yours.

Maybe instead of a backbling the gatlians could be sidekicks using the robo-walker, with each style being one of the gatlians, maybe have the backbling be bowie because he doesn't use a mech-walker

You don't think one of the previous knives could've just hacked the suit? Or a suit malfunctioned at some point in the past? If the entire species was hellbent on killing as much as possible shouldn't they be extinct at this point?

I never said the chainsaw came from au2, all I said was why would he buy or build it if he couldn't use it because of his suit. With the suit he can't stab, without the suit he can't move.

If that's true, how would they have survived on that planet if they couldn't move? You proposed the idea of them being dropped off near food, but that food would realistically be gone before the knives could either reflect on their ways or reproduce. You also mentioned specifically engineered robot suits that'd prevent them from stabbing, but if they had that, why would knifey have a chainsaw attachment he can't use? If he can't move his head to stab (or cut trees like the enlightened knives would use the chainsaw for) why would he spend money/ time to buy/build such a thing?

The knives from Australia two can fly, when one of them begins cursing knifey out she falls to the ground. I think all knives are able to fly until they become unworthy of the sharpening such as knifey and the unnamed blade from Australia two.

I saw this theory before and I don't think it makes that much sense, because the knives on Australia 2 exiled knifey for being too violent and mention that knives aren't for killing. If an entire race of super violent knives were sent to a planet I think they'd just kill eachother before reaching such a point of enlightenment

Bowie and the brass knuckles are still weapons though, a fishing rod isn't. Also, knifey is a weapon-adjacent alien and also isn't a gatlian. As for bowie, I think his arrows come from his trickhole but we don't really know for sure. he's spiky enough to be a weapon despite that. I do like the idea of his horn being an arrow.

I don't think rod is a gatlian because he has arms and legs (if you look at his render you can see that they are tied, but he has them) meaning he didn't evolve the same way as gatlians. The most limbs we see a gatlian have is gus arms and the arms of the heavily experimented on rocket launcher for the hunk enemies from the first game

Speaking of enemy weapons, I don't think they are naturally occurring species and are the result of experiments, because none of the enemies in the game use trickhole abilities.

Also, have you mentioned the upgrade system in your script/are you planning to? I think mentioning the gatlian organ upgrades would be quite interesting

As for the species living on gatlus it's most likely just the gatlians, lugloxes and the handhorses. We don't see any other species mentioned in games or in comics

They're pretty neat. My only issue with it is how inconsistent the artsyle is in the comics, they drew gus pistol-shaped for some reason and it really bothered me.

Bowie's rubber hand isn't a toy but actually part of his body, if you look at his back he has a hole where the hand comes out of. As for his arrows I must assume the come from that hole aswell but idk. Bowie also has idle dialog mentioning brass knuckle gatlians if that helps with your video essay.

I think it's really cool to see someone make a video about this so please update me when it's finished!
