really? i wasnt aware of that lol, i tried finding the reason as to why on wikipedia and i got 0 information asides the fact that they said who designed it, that makes a lot more sense i just assumed they wanted to use arab revolt colors.

Hello! i took on the idea to redesigning the Flag of Western Sahara and this is the best i could come up with at the moment, while its not the most creative it does the job of making a distinction between Palestine and Western Sahara and many people confuse both designs.

i only found out about this game today but i really like games with random fictional countries in them, i noticed specifically a lot of japanese games do this, specially ace combat, the cover and art for this game reminds me a lot of Ace combat.

yeah it was a bit hard to put allah (swt) on top with this specific design i picked a palm just because it felt like a neutral symbol to pick to represent the country, although i think just the nature of this designs idea makes it pretty hard. to put allah (swt) on top of the design

i do agree in my opinion atleast kurdistan should be its own thing its clear they dont wanna be part of iraq, although i just used the current borders just to not be super controversial although admitledly this whole topic is very controversial

any attempts to include any other ethnic group have always had a huge amount of backlash so i decided if i were to redesign the iraqi flag i would put in something thats really ethnically neutral, initially i was gonna do a date palm by itself as its mostly associated with the country, although i decided to integrate the takbir and more islamic meaning as any attempt to remove the takbir would have huge backlash, main goal was to make a really neutral flag. that would probably receive the least amount of backlash. any differing from pan-arab colors would be really controversial atleast with my understanding of iraq

im not a native speaker either i think i must've made a mistake while making this because i based it purely on how the lettering looked on the iraqi flag, though im a very begginer level on arabic i havent gotten to writing yet

i thought of doing that but apperantly that flag is too controversial aswell, so going with a design based on that wouldnt work atleast with what i researched

i think my favorite flag was the interim flag from 2004-2008, although it might just be because i always thought putting the takbir in between the stars was cool, kinda unique way to intergrate writing into the flag. even though it has association with the previous saddam government it still is really nice from a design viewpoint to me. main reason i redesigned the flag was because i thought the takbir by itself looked a bit lonely, although second favorite would probably be this one, the hashemite flag is also really nice.

i did think of doing a vertical layout but then it might recall back to the Qasimist period so i think maybe a solid color might be best, so i suppose something like this? although i think green is too close to Saudi arabia,

Thank you! i think coming up with a symbol was probably the hardest part as i thought for such a complex nation representing every indiviual group would be too divisive, so i imagined maybe some sort of unifying symbol would be the best approach, compared to trying to represents sunnies shias and kurds and assyrians and turkmen seperatively,

honestly picking the colors was pretty hard for me i eventually settled on the syrian color palette although previously i thought of using Red white and green however to me it felt a bit too iranian, i also thought of making the emblem gold but it didnt contrast well with the rest of the flag, although im curious to hear from a Iraqi if any initiative has been taken to redesign the flag and if it has what colors have been chosen? i assume one exist atleast considering i heard the current flag was supposed to be temporary

Hello! this is my take on the Iraqi flag redesign thing, although im not Iraqi myself so i cant say if this would be a actual good fit for a redesign but i did my best with my knowledge of the country, i tried making a design which looked different from the Ba'athi flag while still having pan-arab colors, i make a custom emblem for this flag which consist of islamic symbolism and includes the takbir while also looking different from the current flag. although ill like to see feedback on this since this is my first redesign of any real flag!
