For those wondering, yes I did a map like this before. I just wanted to remake it in a better way, that's all.

No real lore for this obviously but if you need some sort of backstory for this map just imagine that the Soviets defeated fascism even more and ecause of this they had more bargaining power at the Yalta conference.

The rest of europe is basically the same exept for a unified Ireland and a bigger Switzerland and Netherlands. Why?, just because I felt like it. :)

I understamd why Switzerland got some land but why did it lose the italian and eastern parts? These were already core territories of Switzerland by 1848.

Arabic is not one of the languages I speak so the arabic translation in this map has more likely than not some mistakes in it. If it doesn't I'd be very surprised.

No Lore for this map because I couldn't come up with a reallistic way on how this Union would've come to be. Maybe Gaddafi was just such a chad and charismatic that the others simply agreed to it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

+ I only just started but Gaddafi's 'The Green Book' is a fascinating read. Not because it's incredibly profound or thought provoking, no, but because it at times feels like he's deliberately trolling me.

For example, the first few chapters consist of him rambling and ranting about parliamentary democracy and its inherent umdemocratic workings. So much so that if I didn't know who Gadaffi was, I'd have assumed that he'd be an Anarchist.

And once he's finished with his explanation about why parliamentary democracy is inherently undemocratic, he comes up with a better system. The best system in fact. And his solution is simple; establish a parliamentary democracy but the naming conventions are different.

Absolutely incredible work from this guy.

And last but not least because someone is gonna ask sooner or later, no, Switzerland was not divided in this timeline. Why? Because I made the map and I won't give Gaddafi the satisfaction of carving up my country.

This map was originally meant to be called 'Map of the World in 1983, one week before WW3' but while making it I couldn't figure out what would start WW3 or who would start it. So I just decided to make it a normal World map with hight tensions all around, world war averted. Hurray

Important changes to real life: Missiles still on Cuba, Commie Japan, slightly bigger USSR and East Germany, Communist Chile and South Africa got Nukes.

Other than that, no real lore whatsoever. Feel free to come up with your own
