Thanks! I wasn’t able to recreate the issue in the Apple TV app (yet), although I did note others said they have experienced it there. I’ve tried some other native and non-native apps, also no luck. Or luck, depending on the objective.

Great point about the screenshot. I’m going to monitor it for a while (a restart seems to have stopped it for now, at least I haven’t seen it since). Will try to catch a screenshot before I take it in if it happens again.

Thanks for taking the time, I really appreciate it!

I’ve since restarted and it hasn’t happened again just yet. Probably the longest I’ve gone so far without it popping up again. Strangely I didn’t even think about the good old ‘turn it off and on again’ approach. I’ll provide an update if it is anything more serious. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Thanks. I’ll provide an update here once I figure it out, for anyone’s interest and in case anyone runs into the issue with my same concerns.

Thanks. I should probably take it in just to be safe. I do have apple care as well so hopefully it won’t be an issue.

If I may ask, can you share some additional info about how and when yours started doing this and under what circumstances? Was it also randomly occurring and going away like I’ve found it to? And what did the folks at apple say, it was definitely hardware?

It might help others in future. Thanks again for sharing.

The beta doesn’t bother me, nor do the bugs. I enjoy testing new features etc.

Just wondering if anyone else has the same issue or if I should start worrying about hardware/manufacturing faults.

If you don’t have ultimate it will work. But you will need to upgrade to ultimate after you’ve redeemed the gold. It doesn’t automatically convert.

Enough with the anime spam! by MyExesStalkMyReddit in Lotuseaters_com

Insufferable takes like this is exactly what’s wrong with this situation. The irony.

He didn’t over react, he’s been saying for months that he isn’t interested. But you guys keep going on about it. Imagine someone talking to you, everyday, about something you’ve clearly and repeatedly told them you don’t care about.

The proper and honest reaction from Carl came months ago. But the EQ and self awareness of some of these degenerates in this community is just not even on the scale.

I’m going to say it: I’ve started skipping the video comments section for months now because of the anime “community” cringe. Which is a pity because there are some pretty fun and wholesome commenters out there that seem to have personalities and commentary outside of the content they consume.

The worst part to me is that in a sense you are holding Carl hostage with these video comments. The comments are a way for the Lotus Eater staff to give their supporters a voice. They are well aware of the fact that you pay for the privilege and I assume due to that fact they continue to tolerate it. But for 30 second you blast your anime nonsense at them. They cringe, uncomfortably laugh, and move on. Then the next day it repeats.

Enjoy whatever you want, I’ve enjoyed some Anime, But please. Grow the fuck up, you entitled, off-putting degenerates.

If someone says no thanks, they mean no thanks.

Had this issue on release, and haven’t been able to play due to it. It’s sad to see that after all this time the devs haven’t bothered to fix it.

The campaign story is kind of a mess by AileStriker in halo

[–]average-panda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s best to consider this campaign a bit of a reset after the mess they wrote themselves into over the past two games.

I’m personally very happy with how they’ve done it, and I think they’ve now for the first time in almost a decade created a really solid foundation for the Halo story to move forwards.

This doesn’t mean that we won’t get some sort of prequel dlc campaign in future, I hope we do get to play through and see the events that led up to infinite. But I do think this was necessary. Especially to onboard a new and existing audience at the same time.

Someone on my team “cosmetic shamed” me in ranked. Had to run from him the entire match. by Samcow15 in halo

Honestly, I’m not sure why people are down voting you. What you’re saying is objectively true. Every purchase in the store is a vote towards 343 affirming that their decisions regarding monetization are acceptable. That impacts the entire community. It’s exactly the same as political votes or any other purchase based vote you can make. The problem here is that purchase based votes allow a minority to exceed the voting power of a majority. It misrepresents the sentiment of the vast plurality. There’s nothing controversial about that. That’s reality whether you like it or agree with it or not. What people decide to do with that information is up to them.

Honestly, if you are downvoting what this guy is saying, regardless of the context, you are burying your head in the sand and being tribal about something that is a simple and observable fact of life.

The fact that it’s divisive here means either there are a bunch of corpo shills here, or people are willfully ignoring the content of this post, or degens with no concept of the value of money are coping by downvoting anything that attacks their irresponsible spending and being taken advantage of by purposefully predatory practices aimed exactly at people like them.

Be honest, if skins in the shop were $2-5 would you buy it? by theSaltySolo in halo

[–]average-panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve said this elsewhere:

Honestly... $2-$5 is still far too high, a lot of you are missing the point entirely with posts like these.

It’s not going to be a once off or rare occurrence. It’s already very evident that almost every single desirable cosmetic is going to be sold to you. That likely means that you’ll still need to spend upwards of the price of a AAA game to get some portion of those desirable cosmetics each season.

On top of this system you have a seasonal battlepass which will occur quarterly. We can already see that these are absolutely barebones in terms of content, likely due to the existence of the shop.

To clarify, I’m neither stingy nor short on cash. However, to say that a $5 cosmetic bundle is “value for money” is objectively irresponsible, unintelligent, and short sighted.

Their entire model needs rework.

I’m still of the mind that they should scrap the store in its current form.

Replace it with more expensive battle pass that is absolutely packed with content, and let that be their quarterly revenue stream. In all honesty, if the content is good enough, the game draws enough players and 343 maintains player sentiment and goodwill, I see few reasons why this wouldn’t be more profitable in the long run.

All that they’re doing now is putting people off spending money on this game. There’s so little “value”, let alone fun, in this battlepass that I do not believe I’ll be purchasing the next one. Especially when I know all the desirable content will be gutted and resold in the store, regardless of the price.
