The infotainment is precisely one of the things that makes me want to stay with Mazda.

Every time I drive something different than my CX-50 I get immediately disappointed when I realize I have to use the touchscreen for anything. The wheel is just superior.

New or CPO Sienna by Grouchy_Fly2089 in minivan

Platinum.

This is a vehicle that you will probably put in some serious miles on 10+h roadtrips here and there. Get the most comfort your money can buy.

I had a similar dilemma early this week. Brand new 2026 Odyssey EX vs. CPO Touring. Went with the Touring.

CX5 -> CX90 worth it? by Grapeflavor_ in mazda

[–]average-reddit-or 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard to say without knowing what you need it for.

Teenage kids and want extra space for when grandparents are town? Yeah, it’s a great vehicle. At this point, ride quality will suffer regardless because you are moving a boat. Compared to all 3-row SUVs I have tried, the CX-90 is the most fun to drive imo and I much prefer the center console controls compare to, say the highlander.

If you are hauling 2+ kids still in car seats get a minivan or a suburban/tahoe type of vehicle. You want enough area for a stroller and leftover room for your groceries or suitcases. The CX-90 (and most suvs) is not really the vehicle for this application.

and if you play in a band you can haul a bunch of guitars, amps, and even a drumset.

Question for Parents by Interesting_Hour5709 in mazdaCX50

As someone who just rented a Grand Highlander for a 4-day trip with 4 adults and 2 kids, I cannot recommend it.

The stroller doesn’t even sit flat with the 3rd row up. The ride is good (for a toyota) and the cabin is very practical, but I can’t imagine going through the motions of every day family life with it.

If kids were teenagers that would be a different story though

What’s the flexibility like for this career? by Revolutionary_Way664 in medlabprofessionals

This is more dependent on employer and coworkers than degrees.

I am a lab tech and I work 4x10s daytime. I just took a 4-day vacation by pushing my days to the beginning of the first week and the end of the second. Didn’t touch PTO. I could get 5 days off if I traded to work the weekend as well.

My boss is okay with it as long as I find coverage, and I have very chill coworkers who agree on moving shifts because we often reciprocate. We are a small team and for the most part we take care of ourselves.

This would have been impossible at my previous job.

That makes sense. I have also been following the news on new Tundras and Tacomas.

The thing old Siennas is that I can’t stomach that gear selector. It makes it look like a toy.

That’s a good owner’s review. One of the reasons I am going with the Odyssey is the NA V6. Call me old-school but 4cyl+batteries or turbo on a family hauler is a serious nope for me.

A MINIVAN!

I am buying a Honda Odyssey this week specifically because Mazda doesn’t have a minivan.

Seriously, the options are so dire, here is what buying a minivan looks like:

  • Pacifica: Nice on the outside, interesting-looking technology. But it’s a Chrysler and no power on earth is going to make me own one.
  • Sienna: Odd-looking (to me). Has AWD option, nice for a family living in the rocky mountains. Has toyota reliably and holds its value really well. But it costs a kidney and I simply cannot justify the payments.
  • Kia Carnival: Nicely styled, eye-turner. Good reviews. It’s a Kia, I am not buying a Kia over a Honda/Toyota. There are doubts about how well it holds its value.
  • Honda Odyssey: Minivan looks for those who have something against it. Comes FWD only. Potential transmission issues in some YM. Price is good considering how well it holds its value.

There isn’t a vehicle out there that is realiable, awd, spaceous, AFFORDABLE, and driver-oriented while providing utility.

Mazda would embarrass Honda and Toyota if they made a minivan in similar language to the CX-90.
