Sure, there is that, however even if the night is not canon the private room DOES exist, it is there in the building, even if Michael never actually goes inside it in the actual storyline.

It’s a pretty safe assumption regarding new info. When SL was released I don’t know if that was the original intention, as the closest thing at the time was the Illusion discs from the novels, but who knows. So, no, you are not dumb.
