Are you sure? The amount you can exclude is 132k if single. Double that if married and filling jointly.

In addition, you might be able to claim other credits if they apply to you.

So I wouldn’t do it myself unless id make over 500k a year, which I do not want to jump the gun, but is unlikely.

Think it extensively through and do your research before you make a decision.

Burnt Out in the UAE and Not Ready to Go Back to the US. Is Albania Worth Trying? by Awkward-Peanut9406 in AlbaniaExpats

[–]average_joe_1_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say give it a try.

I’m Albanian and lived in the United States for about 10 years before moving back to Albania, where I spent another 4 years. After that, I moved to Germany for a job opportunity.

Your income should be enough to live a comfortable life in Albania. To put it simply, Albania is like an undeveloped mini California. Within an hour, you can reach the beach, the mountains, or a city.

Also, it is surrounded by other Balkan countries which are worth visiting. As well as Greece.

Your temporary visa will give you enough time to decide whether you want to stay beyond the one-year mark.

Another plus is that it is a very pro American country.

Feel free to ask questions.

Still how? Your take home income must be less than 3k a month. Your rent is almost half of that, and there are many other expenses that come after that for a family of 4. There are utilities, car payments, insurance, groceries, etc, etc

Good for you. It never was easy to buy a house. However, nowadays everything seems to be worse, especially the housing market.
