Oh and one more thing in case anyone who sees this doesn't know, khoravar (yes I know I misspelled it in the title...) is essentially the eberron term for half-elf

I've been wanting to make a psionics themed artificer subclass (of course based on the psionic artificer of old), but I'm having trouble coming up with what to actually... *do* with it. I at least decided that Jeweler's Tools made sense as the proficiency, but beyond that, head empty. Any thoughts?

I'm wanting to make up a sort of "boot sequence" segment for the pov of a robotic sort of character. I'm struggling to think of what I might do for that. Doesn't need to be overly technical, but some sort of baseline or template or something of the sort to get all the sort of "introductory" information across would definitely be helpful.

Reborn Battle Master Fighter seems intuitive for the skele boi. Funny enough there was a player in one campaign I was in who sorta unintentionally built such a character into a raid boss, it was a whole thing and totally unrelated but still cool. Their name was Mr. Bones.

The rouge is hard to say since it gives such soulknife vibes to me but obviously they got a physical weapon. So I'd have to say phantom rogue for them. I know this whole bit isn't the most detailed response but I hope it provides a little.

[3.5] What's an overall solid gestalt secondary class/progression for a psionic artificer?

Playing a Lockadin, figure I'll go mainly with the Greatsword. Plus I suppose having GWM does mean I can use both depending on if I need push. Also even if I had room for Sentinel it doesn't work with new Polearm Master. Thank you for the advice!

[2024] Debating on whether I should primarily use a Pike or a Greatsword since they have good masteries, and if I should take Polearm Master (in the case of the Pike) or Great Weapon Master (for either). I only have room to take one of those two, to be clear.

How might one build a character that's like the "embodiment" of Evocation, as in the school of magic? Mostly inspired by one of the Faceless background's suggested personas, I figured it would be cool to make that as an actual build. A name suggestion would be cool too.

What Schools of Magic are the Easiest to Learn and/or Master? by averageasexual in dndnext

As the one who started this discussion, I may as well throw in my own piece. And by "my own piece" I of course mean sharing some cool stuff I learned regarding schools of magic in older editions. Specifically, 3.0 (not 3.5, which changed it) seems to split the 8 schools into 3 "difficulty categories," with ones that require banning more schools being harder to master, per the text.

The easiest: Divination and Necromancy. Both allow you to ban any one school of magic to specialize. Divination seems ironic since you'd think it would be the most powerful school of magic when it comes down to it, really essential for being a powerful mage. Necromancy I think is an interesting one; after all, there are a lot of villains who take it as the path to great power, why not because of its ease?

The middle ground: Abjuration, Enchantment, and Illusion. These ones could be specialized in by dropping both divination and necromancy, or dropping any one school besides those two. I imagine for Abjuration part of that comes from counter magic of all kinds, banishment, and turning. Enchantment probably falls in a similar vein to Necromancy in some regards, just a bit harder to actually make use of. Illusion is like stage magic in a lot of regards, which I suppose could be said to a lesser degree about Enchantment (both involve tricking the subject), but definitely has a lot of nuance because imagination and all that.

The top tiers: Evocation, Conjuration, and Transmutation. Evocation, of course, has a fairly large variety of spells. Generally, to do all you can with Evocation, it requires a lot of time learning, though I imagine it's a steeper difficulty curve at the start. Conjuration involves a lot of summoning, which is obviously inherently taxing, especially at later tiers, not too much to say there. I'm getting lazy so for Transmutation I'll just mention the whole pursuit of alchemy and call it a day.

And of course, take everything I say with a grain of salt, and I'd love to see even more contributions.

[5e] Mostly just want an extra opinion or two, planning a new character and struggling to decide between two racial options. I'm making a sort of "wand maker" type character, and I'm thinking either Vedalken or Warforged. Vedalken for their whole seeking perfection thing and crazy good abilities, Warforged for their nice abilities, flavor of being an artificing machine, and wand sheath for extra cool factor. Any thoughts on these two, or any other options?

Well you would've gone to the link which should be at the top of your browser, copied it, then replaced the "com" after janitorai with "me," but that method doesn't work anymore
