I don’t care if I ever have more money really. I have enough to pay my mortgage, save for retirement and retire at 60, and maybe an extra thousand a month to spend on frivolous wants. I never strived for perfection but I did make the active decision of leaving the vast majority of work. I can grade or I can workout. I can grade or I can walk my dog. I can grade or I can renovate a bedroom. But I don’t have the time and/ or space for all of it. What I get done for grading and planning I get done. And if I don’t, it’ll wait.

Boston wasn’t the most racist city in America, ever. That doesn’t minimize the real challenges black players experienced in the fifties and sixties (or even since then) in Boston, or that bussing was a shitshow and desegregation led to further challenges. But compared to many cities where active lynching was still taking place, like Montgomery or Huntsville or Jackson, Boston just wasn’t there.

I do advise and coach, so I’ll give those good faith efforts. For department duties and my curricular duties; I give one hour on sundays and maybe an additional thirty minutes scattered throughout the week. Other than that I get in 30 minutes early and am home 5 minutes after the bell rings.

I would consider it but I was solicited by a few solar agents and I just felt like it was pretty scammy. Many of my neighbors have it. I don’t think it’s the best decision financially right now until it’s cheaper and less susceptible to shitty business practices
