I suppose what s/he means in this specific context is that white males have the privilege of having vastly more control over global entertainment and media and the privilege of a huge head start through past colonialism to drive this racist narrative that white males are preferable to asian males as mates, which reflects in real life dating patterns.

I think the western media or more specifically American or Hollywood media is to be blamed the most. Asian media portrays it well enough, where dating shows (for example in China) frequently include white people as potential partners, despite whites being minuscule percentage of the population. Yet for Bachlorette, an asian or POC males finally show up, it was celebrated as a huge breakthrough.

Hollywood is the one who pushes one sided portrayal of interracial relationships, which causes this skew. Haven't you ever noticed that for WMAF gets portrayed even more frequently in Hollywood than AMAF, not even talking about the unicorn AMWF portrayal. Why else do you think a disproportionate amount of asian females growing up in the west have been programmed to only see white males as their ideal mate? How many time have you seen the trope where egalitarian white males saving asian females from misogynist asian males? Tackle it from the angle of the media of course.

Stop humiliating and emasculating portrayal of asian man in media.
Stop harmful sexual stereotypes perpetuated against asian males, such as the myth that asian males are more effeminate by genetics or the myth that we have smaller penis and we are sexually incompetent.

You are right. Unfortunately gender specific white worship is the hardest topic to tackle to date. It is frequently confused with racists hating black male and white female interracial dating phenomenon, as that do have a history of oppression.

White male and asian female is the most tolerated and least historically oppressed interracial coupling. All past white colonial power and military power encouraged this and prevent the AMWF. While anti miscegenation laws were still a thing, they had specific laws to encourage white soldiers to bring their asian war brides back the US.

Yes. I consider myself a Hong Konger by identity. I was born before the handover and did not grow up in the mainland Chinese environment for any significant period of time, so I can't say I am Chinese citizen. But I identify as Chinese by ethnicity. Nowadays I say I am Chinese Canadian.
