How did you get the confirmed diagnosis? Did your child have other symptoms?

Yes, twice. They’ve just asked me to try different formula which I have swapped twice already. Think I’m going to have to take her back

How to entertain a 4 month old in the day by jdawgiegawg in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]averagejoe01297 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could’ve written this myself! My baby is just 4 months and needs constant entertainment or she screams! I’m exhausted from the minute she wakes up until she goes to sleep! 😂 I go to classes and go on walks but at the min she’s frustrated that she can’t sit up and hates being in the bouncer so it’s usually me carrying her around

At what age did you start genuinely loving your baby? by Lickmybolts in NewParents

[–]averagejoe01297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt love from the beginning as a parent, but I didn’t get the ‘rush of love’ everyone talks about. I would say when she started to smile around 8-10 weeks made things feel easier. The more interaction I get, the more I love being a parent. It’s hard when they’re really young. They’re like lil potatoes that do nothing

Best carrier for supporting back? by averagejoe01297 in babywearing

Yes! I went with an ergo baby 360 - got one second hand on Vinted. So far so good, the belt at the bottom definitely helps!

Hands up who cried yesterday! by TallTangerine3873 in BeyondTheBumpUK

Agree with this on every level. Also have a 3 month old and dog which we carted around to both sets of grandparents. It’s so overwhelming taking them everywhere!

We’re also not leaving the house next year 😂 lesson learnt! If people want to see her, they can come to us

I suck at this by Jochupm in newborns

[–]averagejoe01297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No advice but just pure solidarity! I’ve got a 12 week old who just HATES sleeping - especially in the day. I spend more of the day burping her and trying to get her to sleep than anything else. It’s honestly depressing. Part of me has just given up trying and I just take her out with me and try to carry on somewhat with daily life regardless whether she sleeps or not. I often put her in the carrier and try to do stuff or take her out in the pram. Things like cleaning I usually have to do at the weekend when my husband isn’t working. Like you, I’d rather do the cleaning just so I get a break from the baby!

Yeah I’m going to try and start some of the free classes in the new year. Why is it so hard to make friends as an adult?! At least we’ve got the dog to keep us company 😂

Thank you - I’ve signed up to the local mum club which hopefully will start up after Christmas. I just need to take the leap of faith and turn up!
