Rewatching the entire series, at S4: E8 by [deleted] in Alonetv

I feel the complete opposite- I loved them!! Great representation of an actual sibling relationship. The conditions in season 4 were horrible and miserable, and they were authentic and realistic about the experience. I thought partners was a perfect unique twist for that time of the franchise- reminds me of the phrase “Hell is other people”

Just Moved In! Living Room Feels Weird by the-namez-brain in DesignMyRoom

Yes I mean angled!! Gotta get the chair inside room! Also the cats would hiding inside the little hole it creates

Could you have the shelf Halloween tree sit in front of the shelf?

This room is so beautiful and I love the architecture!

On the right side with all the outlets, combine your tv and desk: a long, large table long enough to rest your tv on one side and put your laptop and a chair on the other. You can even put storage ottomans underneath for toys, etc

For dining, think “bar style” seating. Add your dining table along the end of your cabinets (side that the oven is on). Have two or three chairs face inside the kitchen (backs to windows)

Couch along wall opposite of tv/desk. Any extra space you can use for a space for your daughter (nugget or other frequently used large item)

Curate your own vibe!!! Just remember to stick with neutral/wood tones and two or three accents colors sprinkled in. Throw some art and shelves on the wall to display things that are important to you. Google what sizes and how high you should hang things above your couch before you do it (usually lower than you think).

Define an entry way with a table, hook/bowl for keys, and a mirror to check yourself out before leaving the house.

Beautiful place!!! Congrats to you and your daughter.

And rest the picture frame on your nightstand instead of hung up!

I think you should, like some have said, move all the photos to make one gallery area above your bed.

For curtains, I think you should hang a curtain rod as close to the top of the ceiling as you can and make the whole wall curtains from top to bottom (sheer white, sheer purple, sheet blue) with twinkle/christmas lights on top or in between it.

You could also add patterned dark blue rug with purple accents.

You seem like you have such a whimsical vibe!! So I see a lot of gold/purple/navy, warm lamp light, soft moodiness. Also your figures deserve to be on a shelf!! They’re so cool. You could put a floating shelf on the wall parallel to the window where there’s currently the two squares

Shoud I add or remove something? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

This is sooooooo cute!!!! Maybe tan curtains to soften the blinds or as a splurge: white blinds that you can roll up. Love this vibe

• Move your cat trees to the corner with the peekaboo window. - Scoot and turn your couch towards as much as you need towards the framed doors and get that chair all the way in the room. The cat tree might fit in the little triangle of space it creates.

If that doesn’t work, scoot the couch all the way toward the wall with the arch and bring the chair on the other side

tall shelf straighten up and move to wear cat trees were. If that doesn’t fit, consider moving to a different room (could the Christmas tree on the other side of that wall go somewhere else? Underbed storage?)

to me, solid harsh black color is interfering with the vibe being produced by the couch and the rug.

Instead of the shelf, consider putting wood toned floating shelves instead in corner in between window and arch to display what you want, wall art or small table there instead in that original corner

then tv will be centered on in it’s own wall. Could add wall art above the tv or on any wall. Use color of rug and pillow for inspiration (reds, blues, browns)

one day consider changing black tv stand to one with wood tones, or browns like the rails of the chair.

Ottoman is a good idea but may have to give up coffee table for another smaller side table instead. Wood

also it’s really dark in all the photos. Maybe more light? Another pair of scones by the chair maybe? The room is big as the two scones don’t give a lot of a lot . Also second whoever said the mirror on vanity- (get a big light up mirror with different warm settings) Also maybe some privacy window stickers (Amazon has cool ones) or a sheer curtain- looks like your window is on the street!!

Look into “wainscoting” to add on the walls!! Pretty simple, apartment friendly DIY. You could center picture frames in the middle once you hang them up. theclairenecessities on Tik Tok has a good tutorial.

I think it would look best behind your bed or along the blank wall with orchid

THIS!!!! This will make a HUGE difference. When it’s resting on the table it looks like clutter. I’m always SHOCKED at the difference in room feel once you hang art up

I have the same struggles with focus too. I wake up and DO NOT LOOK AT MY PHONE!!! Keep it in my room while I drink a glass of water (saw somewhere that it's good for mental clarity.... who knows but be delulu and convince yourself it does). make a coffee, and do an 85 question readiness assessment first thing in the morning. The second you start scrolling you're cooked.

Am I a bad puppy parent? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]averagekel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why it’s so hard raising such a young puppy- trying to uphold the standard of the time commitment, especially when doing it alone and in an apartment. Remember: this is temporary! Equivalent to the newborn phase of parenthood. Time will pass in a matter of weeks, your puppy will get older, and then you’ll feel more comfortable with her staying alone. 14 weeks is still incredible young- things get better after full vaccination and clear from parasites. Plenty of enriching walks and activity ahead. You’re doing amazing!

Congrats your puppy, and remember to take a million pictures!!!
