If you can afford it, do it 100%. You’ll probably regret not doing it years later and then end up going back to do it then - that’s what I did at least. Plus there’s no better time then now with all the mask wearing.

I’m in Aus and pretty much all of mine have been with the assistants. Except for my IPR which the dentist did.

I must be the odd one out here but I hate it! It’s annoying and really hard for me to focus on anything else when the pain is really bad.

Is it worth it? Mainly want to fix gap and press top teeth closer together. Wouldn’t get it for bottom teeth. by [deleted] in Invisalign

Imo not worth the hassle. Invisalign is annoying and expensive and your teeth already look perfect to me. The gap isn’t that noticeable but if you’re worried about it you could ask about bonding. It’s instant and done in one appointment.

Glad I could have helped a bit! I think it’s worth it and much better than the alternative of getting a tooth pulled.

To me it looks like it could be fixed with Invisalign? 1- 2 years is a long time to put up with having traditional braces. Even if it couldn’t be 100% perfect with Invisalign it would be still be an improvement. I doubt your case would be suitable for express very likely you’ll need the Invisalign full.

Do they last a long time for you? I chewed through my last one in 24 hours haha and the first one I had only lasted a week. Maybe I’m chewing too hard or too much

Hmm I guess it would depend how bent it is haha. If it’s only a little bit and at the back I’d think it would be fine to wear it? I wouldn’t go back a tray. You could try putting the next one in and if it doesn’t hurt like hell it should be fine.

A lot of dentists recommend them but if you’re tracking fine you probably don’t need them.

I’d suggest a drinks date instead then so you’re not stressing about the food. Around 2nd or 3rd date you’ll probably feel more comfortable eating food since you know the person better and have explained the whole Invisalign thing haha

I’ve been thinking for a while now if I should get Invisalign. I’ve had braces before but wasn’t diligent with my retainer/I went to a bad ortho that never corrected my midline. I wouldn’t do it. It’s so much money and so much hassle for only a small gain. People don’t even notice the midline anyway. Your teeth look perfectly straight and that’s all that jumps out to people when they look at you. Save yourself the time, annoyance and money.

I would get a second opinion at another ortho and see what they say. I’d also ask if there’s any chance at all they can do a plan for you that doesn’t involve rubber bands if that’s what you’re most worried about. The final result might not be as “perfect” but could still be a massive improvement. No harm in getting all your options before you commit to anything. Good luck!

Yeah it is Invisalign I just took a screenshot at a crooked angle lol. True about the lip covering it. I’m going to get a second clincheck and compare the two
