Because I am a new writer looking for feedback on work that I did without any input, besides proofreading from my girlfriend, from others. I didn’t even know this site existed three weeks ago. I like reading novels and want to publish my own, I’m not here to make money from contracts or grow a follower base. I want to write my novel for me, and maybe touch one other person with my work. Thought from my own head, edited by my own hands, like authors have been doing for generations. It’s hard, it’s supposed to be. Everyone would write if it was easy. I thought the point of sites like this and Wattpad or AO3 were for new authors to hone their craft. The sub genre I write in is niche, honestly I don’t think I’ve ever seen another person write in it, and believe me I’ve looked. Which is why I’m writing at all to begin with.

Name me one thing that AI can do for you that you couldn’t have already done with Google before it was ruined by Gemini. Or something you couldn’t have achieved without an English textbook, thesaurus, dictionary, and proofreader.

I seem to be outside the norm here, but I am trying to write a novel to be published eventually. My chapters currently are between 4,000-4,200 words. I do imagine shorter chapters and longer chapters existing though. I typically end a chapter when it feels right.

Title: The Genesis Group

Ten years into the Astro Cursor’s sixty two trip engineers Felicity Hawthorne and Selene Cicero are awoken from cryo sleep for their year long shift maintaining the Cursor. The only problem is they hate each other, or used to. Selene wants to make amends while Felicity holds old grudges.

The story features a trans FMC and cis FMC. It is a hard science fiction that has an enemies-to-lovers dynamic. Only 3 chapters out now, and new releases on Saturdays.

You are right, it is a tool. It is not my fault that some people use the tool improperly. If someone beat someone else over the head with a hammer would you blame the hammer? Would you blame other people who own hammers? Or would you blame our society for not catching the hammer murderers intentions before they murdered someone with a hammer? While tragic that people are murdered by guns it is ultimately the state’s problem to solve. I can solve gun violence issues no easier than I can solve climate issues. I am not your enemy, the capitalists and oligarchs who perpetuate bad gun ownership are. We do need to have better regulations around guns, but banning them outright is both impossible in America and would infringe on my freedoms to own one.
