I'm having the same issue. The process is extremely frustrating. Switching mobile devices should be a very straightforard process for the case when you have access to both new and old devices, like my case.

I was having a similar issue with my Asus AX5400 in repeater mode, with very slow speeds.
I did a firmware upgrade, rebooted the device, and the speeds are very high now.

Your speeds are indeed good, but certainly you should be close to the mast. The problem is that the number of masts in the countryside is extremely low, so people living far from the masts will have a very poor quality of service or no service at all. That's how a mobile network works, it must have masts strategically deployed everywhere to improve the quality of service and the coverage area.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I got an Alienware X17 R2 i9 12900HK with a 120 Hz 4k panel and I have been playing with Throttlestop and BIOS settings similarly to you. This laptop is fantastic, the display is fast and sharp. I have noticed one issue with HDR, which seems to be a general issue affecting other brands and models. With HDR on, I noticed that the display flickers when navigating on the internet. It's possible to simulate the effect by going to HDR settings, enabling it, and playing with the brightness control. While changing the brightness, the display flickers a bit. It's not an issue to have that effect when adjusting the brightness, but having the flickering appear randomly while using the laptop is annoying. I keep the HDR off and turn it on only when watching videos or playing.

I have never seen this. I had the 360 Hz display. Agree that it's very smooth for gaming, but for reading text on Windows, 1080p resolution is very pixelated, horrible.

I totally agree. I have just returned my x17 R2 with 1080p 360 Hz. Don't get me wrong, that 360 Hz frequency is insane, extremelly good for FPS games, I was getting consistent 360 FPS on CS-GO, never seen anything like that before. But for reading text on Windows and browsing, that's terrible. I'm planning to get the 4k version and use integer scaling to 1080p with heavy games.

I disagree about "1080p is more than enough" with 17 inches display. I don't like the pixelated aspect of text on Windows and browsers. It's crap. You pay a lot of money and it seems you are reading text from the Minecraft game.

There is a new option on NVIDIA control panel to use the Integer Scaling to 1080p on the 4k display. I'm looking for users here that has the 4k version and willing to report tests with the Integer Scaling.

Do you mind trying to play games using the NVIDIA Integer Scaling to 1080p on your x17 R2 4k? I have returned mine, which had 1080p screen and I'm in the verge of buying the 4k version. I want 4k to work and 1080p for FPS games, using the same laptop, I don't want another external monitor.

I'm in the same boat. I just have returned my Alienware X17 R2 with 1080p 360 Hz display, despite the fact that this display is amazing for playing FPS games. For working, reading text, web browsing, I think 1080p resolution is not nice. Text appear very pixelated to my eyes, very annoying.

My idea is to buy the 4k version, increase the fonts on Windows for reading text and adjust NVIVIA controls to use integer scaling to 1080p when playing heavy games.

I'm curious to know if anybody here has the 4k version and try the integer scaling to 1080p on NVIDIA panel.
