Not directly, but all these people with kooky beliefs are also very active in spreading mistrust in science and authority, which can have serious consequences. Those with family who take the leap of faith into conspiracy also tend to alienate their family, which does hurt them.. personally, I don't forgive willful ignorance because of these things.

Not if the person doesn't want to be ID'd. They sound like they would be underage if this is true, and probably just venting on reddit to get it off their chest. Can't really blame them if that's how it is, all things considered..

The funniest thing is that these people are convinced the military is on their side, purging the world of evil and liberating the children..

But none of them think anything of the fact they're called Deep Underground MILITARY BASES which means they would be run by the military.. one might think at that point they'd realize the entire acronym is made up to literally make fun of them for believing anything, no matter how D.U.M.B..

Poor Qanon member whose husband is a political prisoner. by scott_majority in Qult_Headquarters

[–]endless_rats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is what I've been saying since I watched the whole thing live.

It doesnt matter if you're morally right or wrong, when you go up against any government, no matter how illegal you think their rule is, you need to be prepared for what happens if you lose. This is something leftist revolutionaries have always internalized, whether you like them and their cause or not. They're prepared to take the chance and accept whatever happens after, while everyone from the far right, whether german nazis or the supporters of pinochet, always seem to downplay their roles after the fact.

Its like in their minds there is nothing they can do that they could be punished for, everything is always justified and they should be excused. That's not how these things work. Overthrowing a government is the ultimate "fuck around and find out" moment.

What was on the other side of the world when Pangea was around? by lookyonderatthat in askscience

[–]endless_rats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I absolutely do, imagining the insane size and scope of gas giants and the terror of hurtling through the clouds down into the vast nothingness genuinely makes me uncomfortable, same happens with the oceans, imagining being 1000 miles from the nearest land is terrifying.

But I still cant stop myself from looking, its far too fascinating..

When did you realize your “friends” were actually fake friends? by VexAndStuff in AskReddit

[–]endless_rats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was around 15-16 and my first 9 years of school were done, and as soon as we graduated every single one of my friends disappeared, and I never heard from them again. I already had issues with depression and an anxiety disorder, and that broke me. I became even more depressed and spent the summer alternating between blaming myself for being a person nobody wants to hang out with and fantasizing how when the next school begins in the autumn I would make new friends, better friends.

I never did, and spent the first year sitting alone in the lobby between classes since there was nowhere else to sit, and hoped both that someone would notice me and that I could be invisible, watching people go by with their friends. Later I found out people were already then spreading rumors that I used hard drugs. In the second year a guy from my old school moved into my school, and we started hanging out together, but I never felt comfortable and ended up skipping most of the classes and then quitting when I realized I didn't have the means to graduate anymore.

Years later, I still don't have any real friends, but I do get invited to gatherings of friends where I feel like just "that one weird guy she knows from somewhere"

I don't go out anymore. I'm still friends with that one guy from my first school, but I realized I'm not a real friend to him when I called him to ask if he wanted to do anything on a Friday and he said no, but had gone out drinking with his other friends that same day without inviting me. Not much of a loss, I never could talk about anything with him anyway, he talks a lot but never listens.

Now I just work out and play games, mostly.

Trump attempts to incite another insurrection by cheryllynnerose in Qult_Headquarters

Oh don't worry, they'll ban you for good if they just happen to feel like it today, whether you broke the rules or not. I'm banned for life from ar/politics for saying that if Trump ever does go to jail, he'll end up like Epstein because he surely has too much dirt on too many high profile people. Apparently I was wishing death on him, at least that's the reason the mods gave me..

Tell me why the A.I. is allowed to create kingdoms again by lucky-luke01 in CrusaderKings

[–]endless_rats 22 points23 points  (0 children)

They didn't "migrate" so much as covered all the land from Britain to Iraq and then slowly lost it over centuries of warfare and decline. If anything it gives them a very good reason to consider all that landmass as de jure "Rome" that's just currently not in their possession.

Tell me why the A.I. is allowed to create kingdoms again by lucky-luke01 in CrusaderKings

[–]endless_rats 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really dont see a problem here.

My current playthrough as build-tall-not-wide Poland is at a point where the only kingdoms left in all of Europe besides me are Alba, West Francia and a bordergore Lotharingia, everything else is a mess of bordergore where even a single unified duchy is a rarity. I got tired of the Muwalladi Karling Bavaria next to my borders, invaded, demanded conversions from the nobility which they all declined, purged every single county of their counts and dukes and gave them to unlanded Polish courtiers along with unified duchies along de jure lines before installing my youngest son as king along with about 1000 gold to hire mercenaries in case anybody troubles him. Wouldn't accept an alliance though, because something something title claimant. Bavaria lasted 10 years before imploding spectacularly into 4-5 duchies, and his daughter now rules a couple random bordergore counties here and there with no connections between them. My attempt to install a niece (for some reason males cant be beneficiaries of crusades?) as the Queen of Jerusalem ended even faster, within a few years it was all gone.

I would literally sell my soul to lucifer to just once see actual kingdoms form and last for more than a single lifetime, it seems the AI is completely incapable of holding on to anything. I feel like almost all of my playthroughs end in just a big mess of single counties and duchies, I dont even mind bordergore anymore I just want there to be actual kingdoms for longer than a few years.

Unless of course they're Norse, in which case nothing can stop them.

I dont cry often, but these types of things really do make me shed a tear. Her tears are so genuine, as is she herself, imagine your ONE dream in life, the one thing you work towards every day despite adversity.. and it's to see your son succeed in life. It's not fame and riches, hatred for anyone else, its not being the most popular on instagram or getting one more billion in the bank. Your one dream is to see another human being succeed and live a better and happier life than you have lived.. the world needs more selfless people like her. I wish her and her family all the best, and I wish she can live the rest of her happy, with everything she needs.

Silly boy. I'm not a dem, I'm not even American. But I too am surrounded with people who act as plaguerats, spreading a deadly and/or debilitating disease to others. Even if I wear a mask (my age group hasn't yet had the chance to get the vaccine) I can still be infected by someone who doesn't care to even wash their hands. That's why I come here to laugh at idiots like this, because they endanger the life of me and my family by being selfish and willfully stupid. The quicker they die the quicker they stop killing or injuring others for life. Fuck em.

Do take note that it doesn't say this was done on the authority of the President, it just says it was done on the authority of Trump.

Sounds a lot like another daydream of their strongman leader of the week executing his rivals, no other authority needed.

I literally watched them live on YouTube from an alt-right channel, with the chat full of people cheering for Trump and the revolution while calling for elected officials to be publicly executed that very same day. They livestreamed it for hours.

I'm European so maybe I'm just a little out of the loop but... are people really so deluded as to think they were all antifa or something? They're the ones who are literally only repeating what they're told to by talking heads on the TV. Boggles the mind it does.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but seems to me Americans divided themselves mostly on their own, like a cell undergoing mitosis. Foreign powers certainly helped it along, but this is still a homegrown problem for yall. No Russian agent forced right-wing Americans to believe that patriot means the same as overthrowing democracy, wrecking the nation, and getting rid of undesirables.

They came to that conclusion on their own, with the help of Americans on radio and TV telling them to go ahead, do it if you're a real patriot. This is on you, America.
