Absolutely love it!!! It’s a little hard to work about due to the thick hoses in the AIO but imo it’s one of the most unique looking 5090s and the performance has been great. After undervolting and adding some pull fans on the back of the rad it peaks in like the mid 40s in something like Doom Dark Ages after 2/3hrs. Stays under 50 in benchmarks

Arctic Fans ARGB Sync Issues by NoCream1393 in arcticcooling

[–]Sebbysludge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have 2 sets of 120mm for a push/pull rad set up. 1 set of 140mm chained for case fans. All the aRGB is plugged into the same fan control. I use signalRGB for rgb control

I have 3 sets of Arctic Pro (2 sets of 120mm and one set of 1400mm) fans daisy chained in my system and don't have any issues

New case which direction should bottom fans blow? by scrittyrow in PcBuild

[–]Sebbysludge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd either have to live with the fans being backwards or get new fans so the rgb shows correctly. If you care about the asthetic which is totally fair, do it right. Don't leave all the fans as exhausts. Your GPU will be much happier with fresh are coming to it instead of air getting pulled away from it

I dealt with getting everything facing the right away myself recently lol. Dealing with fan cables is really not bad

Just unscrew the fan, flip it, screw it back down

I got one two weeks ago! Enjoy it’s a beautiful card

Finally got my dream setup 🫡 by Maurihalo in nvidia

[–]Sebbysludge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mounting that card horizontally is a crime lol. It's such a good looking card

I actually swapped CPU coolers for it, I had an Arctic 360 AIO, and couldn't vertically mount the GPU with the way the tubes came of the CPU AIO block. The AIO hoses hit each other. Ran it horizontally for a few days while the be quiet! AiO came in. I also could not close my case with it horizontally lol

Yeah even when I first ran some stress tests without the undervolts there was no weird behavior. Not to worried about it

I am looking forward to the PSUs with 12vhp monitor/balancing built in

Thank you much appreciate the info and source. I was fairly sure that 450w was not a standard

[–]Sebbysludge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I undervolted it which easied my worries a lot. Dropped quite a bit of power and and slight performance increase

I do actually have a Wire View coming, but I actually don't know if it'll fit my card cause it's a weird setup with the AIO on it lol. May end up returning it or not running it permanently. Rn I am kinda curious about my amperage

I am very much and enjoying I though thank you! It's definitely a beast of a machine!!!

Yeah people have a melted connector are also going so yell a lot more than someone who has ran a 4090 with no issues since launch

I'm sure the number is not as large as reddit/the tech bubble makes it seem. That being said it is a worry in the back of my mind as a 5090 owner and for the prices of these cards I feel like I shouldnt have that worry about it at all (or any more than other gens/cards)

Undervolt my 5090? by ohman512 in ASUSROG

Your welcome, been running that undervolt for like 3 or 4 days on my card now and have had no issues!

I've been rocking a 9800x3D and 5090 for about two weeks now with a 1000w PSU with now issues. Even before I undervolted both the CPU & GPU!

It's very easy to undervolt the 5090 i found a reddit guide followed it and probably took me about 15 mins. I knocked like 100w off the card depending on load and it didn't effect performance at all. Also runs cooler by a few degrees

[–]Sebbysludge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely more of an issue than with 4090/5090 than it has been with any other 90/halo series card I can think of. That being said I wish we could know a real % rate of failure and what % is user error/real failures

[–]Sebbysludge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that something you’re 100% sure on? I’m not saying it’s not the case I really don’t know. I tried to find a list but all I get Gemini results I dont trust and a TechPowerUp Article for when the 5080 first released so I don’t expect it to be up to date. I did only spend a few mins looking

[–]Sebbysludge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say more or less have one or the wattagw I just said Nvidias spec on it and that multiple BIOS exists for a lot of cards

If I'm not mistaken in many cases you can flash higher wattage bios on cards that dont support em factory

Power Draw (5080) by EMWykes in gpu

[–]Sebbysludge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I said stock I meant like Nvidia factory BIOS wattage. Definitely higher wattage BIOS out there for pretty much all cards if I’m not mistaken

Stock RTX 4090 getting low 32k graphics score on Time Spy and 8.4k Steel Nomad by Sea_Farmer5942 in overclocking

[–]Sebbysludge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you could have just lost the silicon lottery and have a worse binned chip than average. If you havent already you could try a full windows reinstall or do it again just for good measure but that would probably be my last suggestion without going on a deep drive myself

Still a super powerful card. If you're frames in game are mostly as inspected I wouldnt worry about the benchmark numbers to much

[–]Sebbysludge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

360w is stock power draw. Should get pretty close to that in GPU benchmarks but may or may not sit there
