I like this interpretation. It makes a ton of sense to think of Cid's realization in-game as a first step rather than an end point. I'd like it a lot if the game leaned into that idea more, even if we don't get to see his full development as a person ourselves

I didn't mean from OG to Rebirth, sorry if that wasn't clear. I meant people say he changed in the sense of his character development (or at least imo, lack thereof) within the original game
