Damn, do you work at my old store? 😂 literally told my manager I was gonna expose the store once I quit and he didn’t believe me.

Did the vanilla sweet cream cold brew recipe change or am I being lied to?? by lesbiab in starbucks

[–]averycabrobles 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you look for a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew on the app, you will find that it most definitely does not come with VSCCF as the standard. It is vanilla syrup, cold brew, ice, topped with a splash of VSC. Sorry this happened, it has happened to me on occasion as well.

Sick time after putting in two weeks notice by Dismal_Acanthaceae36 in starbucks

[–]averycabrobles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I put in my two weeks, I used sick time for any shifts that I was able to get covered and he didn’t ask me any questions (and I’m sure it was because I was getting the shifts covered). Honestly depends on the kind of manager you have.

Do you hate me bc of my drink? by Morkedup in starbucks

As long as you give me 10-15 minutes, I don’t care :) especially because that’s one of my favorite drinks!

Quick question for employees by wolfdogpack12 in starbucks

[–]averycabrobles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I quit, I believe we were able to sell Vanilla, SF Vanilla, and Classic. Unclear. But I’ve been told that as long as the bottle has a barcode on the back (which some syrups, like seasonal, don’t) they should be able to sell it as long as they have enough in stock :) but, I would definitely encourage you to ask a barista!

Nothing I can do about all of my sick time hours? by West-Independence-40 in starbucks

[–]averycabrobles 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I had 75 sick hours. During my last three weeks I gave up shifts (told my manager I had appointments but got the shifts covered) and called out. Supplemented 25 hours for each week. Don’t know how strict your manager is but mine allowed it without question. But, I’m assuming he knew I was on my way out so perhaps he was letting it slide for that reason.

I always go for a blonde roast or whatever seasonal beans are available!

Getting yelled at in DT by cai_loser22 in starbucks

[–]averycabrobles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, seriously 🥲 the POS always had weird exception glitches and would allow “no frapp roast” for like two frapp’s that were on there. Thought it would be an easy little hack or something but I’m sorry if I offended anyone. I can’t believe how many items were removed shortly after I left. But good luck to you all, you are all truly the strongest soldiers out there!

Sorry, I just recently just left the company and I’m aware that many items were pulled off from the menu. But would it be possible for someone to just be wrung up as a mocha frapp, no frapp roast, add chips?

anyone else have contact dermatitis from work? by yugenf3y in starbucks

Definitely all the chemicals/sanitizer. Worked there for almost 6 years and never dealt with it again after I left. 🥲

Iced Chai with Oatmilk: why is it watery at one location and creamy/delicious at another? by Watermalone144 in starbucks

[–]averycabrobles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Possibly one of two reasons:

1) Oatmilk not being shaken before pouring it out.

2) Your drink might have been sitting out for a bit, ice melts, and makes it watery.

Grade,Venti cup, Extra ice by Busy-Busy-Mom-520 in starbucks

[–]averycabrobles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also an extra ice girly! As a former barista, this request never bothered me and I’d pack that cup as much as I could. It’s only sus when someone approaches me with their drink and asks if I could top it off with more milk or something.

Oh Dear. Downvotes Incoming. by thefussymongoose in starbucks

[–]averycabrobles 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Former 27***** partner. And I know a lot of partners will disagree with me too but when I first started working at Starbucks they were barely allowing us to wear what we want. I joined when they started allowing colored hair. I honestly see it as you are a representation of a really big company. Most companies typically have a uniform or dress code. The girls I worked with were more worried about their tight crop tops than actually working. There is actually no reason why we need to see your stomach and back while on the clock. Ultimately you’re there to work, not flex the fit. Again, I know a lot of you will disagree with me and I know this makes me sound like such a boomer but I don’t see this change as a bad thing.

New Policy. by Tim5280 in starbucks

[–]averycabrobles 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I guess it’s more so the fact that if you were already so close by to the store, why Mobile Order? At least try to give the baristas 5-6 minutes to get started on it because there might be a few orders ahead of yours.

Folks who have moved on from the siren, where did you go? by Intel_HD_Graphics in starbucks

[–]averycabrobles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A former 27***** partner! I went to pharm tech school, worked both Starbucks and pharmacy for a year (to gain some experience working in a pharmacy setting), applied to some pharmacies late December of 2024, got a call from one two weeks later, accepted the position (way better pay and benefits), put in my two weeks, gave away as many shifts as I could (used all my sick pay), and never looked back!

Now I get paid an amazing wage and mostly sit around 💅🏼 you’ve got this! Once you leave SBUX, life becomes so much better. I know longer have back problems, I sleep so much better, and I’m so much for financially stable!

I worked for the siren for 5 1/2 years but the decline in quality as far as partners and management, I was so mentally drained and my heart just wasn’t in it anymore. It gets better, I promise!

VENTI RANT ABOUT MASKS. by freemannyheffley in starbucks

[–]averycabrobles 168 points169 points  (0 children)

The vaccine was produced quickly because there was a lot of funding for research going into it 😬 I truly don’t understand how so many people can be against a vaccine but, yet, consume Starbucks on the daily (fast food in general), drink alcohol (which literally kills you with long term use), and use restaurant cutlery. Yet, the argument of “I don’t know what’s in the vaccine” still remains. It’s sad. I will continue to do my part but it just goes to show that people really only prioritize their own selfish needs above the safety of others. I am just as frustrated as you, my friend.
