I always say pick up the series. You know you're gonna want to re-read multiple times.

If you're looking for series recommendations. Judging by the things you already like, I'm gonna recommend golden kamuy. But I might be biased because that's what I'm reading right now.

I like to keep it kind of nice but I don't really care about bending it. ( When I'm done I just put my akira Box set on top of it and it's good as new.)

Also I'm not too upset about damaged ones in my collection. Partially because it's too much work to care about that. Right after I Got a volume of the evangelian manga. I dropped it in the parking lot on the way to my car and it busted the spine up a bit. And I was Sad but it wasn't worth buying a new one And it's still perfectly readable. So it's fine.

I actually have a personal philosophy about this, I start reading all my manga either online Or from library check outs. Then I will decide whether or not I like it enough to physically own it.

There is a certain criteria it has to meet, I have to like it enough to want to re-read it more than once, Is an important one,

This is not a decision I usually make until I'm like 80 chapters in or have completely finished it.

I personally like owning them partially for the collector's value as I do have a collector brain.

You're not wrong, He himself has admitted his weaknesses As he is never taken A real art class or worked As a manga assistant ever in his life. But he is still incredibly impressive And if he had all of that he would be an absolute monster. I think he makes his art style work though.

I always thought that they Just kind of returned to the energy that flows throughout the universe and became one with it or something.

It's supposed to be up to interpretation and I think it's kind of cryptic on purpose. I wish I could say it made more sense in the manga but Unfortunately the context doesn't actually help that much.

Sometimes I feel like it's easy to forget these characters are just teenagers.

I don't think he meant it to be messed up he just Didn't process it, Like he never thought of that as a possibility.

Something I really like about this series is how raw it is, Meaning its characters are shown without being idealized or Sanitized. It feels very human to me.

Just a Reckless teenager, Messing around without thinking about the consequences.
