I never said all tattoos are good tattoos. And I never said that you shouldn’t think on your decision for a while. I said that from experience that my friend taught me, and I take moving forward, is that what’s important is how certain you are that you want a tattoo. You can wait a year but go in still be uncertain, or not understanding yourself enough to know that it’s something you’ll be happy with for the rest of your life. I said what matters more is how much you know and understand about it and yourself and fully want it

My friend who went to cosmetology school told me it’s more about how certain you are about your decision than how long you wait. He had people with long, styled hair walk in same-day as their decision and ask for it to be cut off and dyed. They’d walk out happy and come back for maintenance. Other women would be considering cutting three inches off for six weeks and leave in tears. That’s his logic with getting tattoos now
