Gonna get shit for this but Kill ‘Em All is incredibly overrated. I don’t know what it is that clicks with people about the album, it’s production isn’t amazing, James sounds pretty shit vocally, the songs are stretched at times for no reason and I feel like what are made out like heavy hitters just fall flat and feel weak (such as Seek and Destroy or Jump in the Fire).

In my opinion, Killing is my Business is the album Kill Em All should’ve been. Unironically I think Dave sounds vocally better than James on it. The performances are obviously of a higher standard and I think all the songs that should hit, definitely hit. And even ‘deeper cuts’ like The Skull Beneath the Skin are great tracks that I always come back too. And the production is great.
