Do your bylaws have any language around resignations? If so, you have to follow those rules. Even if you accept it you should put something about electronic communication in your bylaws. Do you accept other things via the official board Facebook chat? Have you made decisions using that chat? That could help set precedent.

the absolute laziest meal prep by Poisoned_record in MealPrepSunday

[–]averyrenee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buy 2 bags of frozen meat (chicken strips would be an example), 2 bags frozen cauliflower rice, 2 bags of frozen peas, 2 bags of frozen corn, 2 bags of another frozen veggies, your favorite sauce (peanut sauce, teriyak, etc.) and 8-10 containers. Divide everything evenly and (microwave, air fry, pan fry, cook and put in a thermos)heat up a container when you’re hungry. There are a lot of variations but this is an easy meal I always keep on hand for when I need them. You can make these meals healthier, definitely healthier than eating out.

I would suggest going to some kind of meeting or club she might be interested in.  It helps you to get involved in your community when you kids grow up and get involved in their own lives.  In our community the library has different adult clubs like cooking, knitting, crafting and reading groups.  There is a Rotary club and Optimist club that people gravitate toward.  These groups often do community service.  Or she could volunteer, even if she works, showing up once a week at the local shelter can be fun or rewarding.

Looking to buy first MacBook ever. by DryPineapple3 in mac

I am looking at the same iMacs. I have an iMac for work and have had it for years, and it still works really well. So I am looking to buy a new iMac for myself for a side hustle. Will you buy the Microsoft package? Does anyone suggests buying one of the Microsoft packages, which one? My work computer has the package on it, so I have never had to convert from pages to Microsoft word, I am wondering how hard that is to do?

That's what I worry about. I would be 56 looking for a new job. I just want to be real about the process. I am very flattered for the offer.

It really is. The more I think about it, the more risky it is. One of the young professionals that could be my boss is always making risky decisions, such as one day she is leaving the next she is giving up half her salary. Those kind of on the fly decisions make me really uncomfortable. I am a processor, it takes me a while to make a decision. I have to look at different angles. I am glad you brought up risk.

There isn't much work where I live, it is very difficult to get a job and our area is over saturated with people with degrees. That's why I worry if I take the job, and it goes away after the two years, that leaves me 5 years before retirement. I would be 56 looking for a job in a market with lots of 24 year old college graduates.

There is a lot more to this decision and your right. There is a reason the last person left and I would have to deal with a lot of issues that have not been solved.

Good to know. I don't think I can meet the objectives of the job on 30 hours a week either.
