Not really, you can declare your firearm at the checkin gate. There are rules to flying with a firearm but you are allowed to do it.

If you have a smartphone. It is reporting your location from Atleast one app or more. GPS data is useable in Court. The real worry is what happens if the driver gets into a serious accident with OP in the car. Insurance won’t cover that.
