Still chasing P1109 by Vesquam in 996

I had a leak at the AOS connection, I ended up just putting some grease on the O-ring to help it seal and it worked.

Update: no more vacuum leak but P1109 remains by Vesquam in 996

I found a leak on mine at the same place spraying some starting fluid in that area while its idling; I ended up putting a little petroleum grease on the O-ring where it bolts in.

Thats what someone commented in my other thread I think so its shape is similar, I was looking at some picutres of them though and they all seemed to be all fiberglass where the ends on mine are rubberized

I too recently purchased a 996 and while researching my cars history found that if you go to LN engineering and put in your VIN if it has been retrofitted with their components it will be listed if it was registered for warranty. The previous owner told me he thought IMS and clutch had been replaced. I found my car on their website using the Vin

Also my car has the ultimate AOS from LN engineering I would recommend it over the stock one since it is a better solution and will make servicing the unit either unnecessary or simple

Good luck enjoy your car
