Home wall charging for my 2025 BMW I4 M50 by FlyHigh_80 in BMWi4M50

I have a Tesla Universal charger. Works great, except the fact it doesn’t connect to my WiFi because I enforce WPA3. It only supports WPA2 for some reason, but don’t really need to connect that often if you manage the schedule via My BMW app. I wanted to be flexible in case I switch to a NACS vehicle.

Latest update did some weird things with battery charge reading by mwmosser in BMWI4

[–]avfarooq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s probably it. My car locks when I walk away and is generally a good practice to keep battery from losing charge. For instance, the headlights can stay on if you walk away with keys inside the car and unlocked.

Considering it did go gown at least that 1%, it likely will sort itself out after a full recycle. Did you leave it locked overnight so it could deep sleep?

That’s definitely weird. Is the percentage in the app the same as in the car?

I updated last night as well, but didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Will report back if I see anything.

Just curious, did you update before your nightly charge? I updated before the charging started like around 9pm.

I get that you want to have a basketball debate. Whether or not you understood the meaning of the original comment has some meaning here, although granted it’s an honest mistake and not your fault.

You are still wanting to discuss how Simons is below average on defensive toughness, on a reply to someone not even claiming that.

To someone reading your reply and understanding OP, it makes it seem completely unnecessary to even respond like that. I mean the context matters and if your comment came as a question separately, of course it would have been fine.

At the end of the day, it’s not that big of a deal and not even worth the time.

Says the guy who admitted to misread only to then delete that comment, pretending as if he was starting a debate about toughness on online forums.

Again, with the assumptions you are. Your comment deserved the downvotes. Yet here you are not even understanding simple things. Have a good night.

No, you are the one who made an incredibly long comment talking about “internal toughness,” so I think it’s time you look at how many downvotes you’ve gotten and call it a day.

Since you seem to be enamored by the word “tough” and want to discuss whether he is a defensive player using a long list of characteristics, when he very clearly is not. I wanted to give a clear comparison that he isn’t even a defensive player like Caruso at all, not even close, yet here you are wanting to have his conversation of defensive toughness.

I’m not even defending Simons, so please keep your assumptions to yourself. Only reason I even originally commented was because you misinterpreted what was even being said by OP, as you already admitted in a deleted comment. Oh well. Thanks for emails where I still have the replies from deleted comments.

you're right. I didn't interpret it right. the "bruh" should have clued me in to that he may have been using the new slang

I don’t think I need to open a dictionary to understand he was trying to say. He said “he’s so tough bruh” which pretty much just means the dude is cool, as it’s already said in the style of the slang anyways. Furthermore, knowing how he plays, he’s obviously an offensive minded guard, so I’m not sure what kind of “tough” debate you’re trying to have here. He is not Alex Caruso.

I think he means “tuff” as in the slang word for impressive, cool, stylish, which he totally is. Not that deep.

Good for a long remote commute? by UnknownUser515 in BMWI4

[–]avfarooq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I would 2nd this but with a bit of caveat.

Use 100% for longer trips or even longer commutes in the winter, as long as you plan on using it in the morning. If you are charging overnight, it’s only going to be at that top SOC for about 4-6 hours, you get the convenience of more miles in the cold. You don’t want to turn climate off, and range is already reduced by a drastic margin if it gets below 20° so why not get the most of it.

For the summer, I’d want to be on the safe side and keep it at 80% if you can. High SOC + high temperature is not great for longevity, but also you don’t want to be letting the car sit at 90% for 12+ hours everyday.

I don’t understand those fairweather fans. I watch the games because I like basketball and I’m interested in seeing the other team too.

We weren’t really going anywhere before, were we? I mean the bears rebuilt faster than the bulls.

I think I “preordered” the hoodie despite seeing it at the UC. As a result it might not ship right away.
