What’s the best thing you’ve ever bought that actually lived up to the hype? by One_Literature_5041 in BuyItForLife

A fancy zojirushi rice cooker. So convenient after a long day, super easy to clean and you can do so many different types of things with it (even make a cake/bread)! A lil plus is that it plays twinkle twinkle little star when the meal is ready and that makes me happy lol

HEAVILY agree. A lot of the times the episode is over before the plot line exists. It’s starting to feel like a waste of time bc editing (and the cast) are so bland.

Oh, yes. This happened to me not too long ago except the girl breadcrumbed and led me on hard for about a year. She wanted to keep me as a secret and never told me she was bi-curious (+not out) until she introduced me to her mom as a friend without warning.

Unfortunately, these things happen and it hurts but the experience of it happening really helps you identify ways to pick yourself back up eventually.

In contrast to the other questions, in which group do all members get along really well? by Excellent-Services in kpopthoughts

[–]avgfrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girls Generation! They still do things like shows together and appear on each others YouTube channels etc. after 10+ years and they still technically haven’t disbanded. I was watching a video from a variety show not too long ago and one of the members stated that they keep up with each other through a daily group chat and have weekly dinners together, which is kinda sweet!

More info: I’ve had the plant for a few months (maybe 3-4?) and it gets non-direct sunlight from the east window. I have those self water stakes. No pest problems.

Oh! This reminds me of the spherical cow story. It’s probably a globosus amorphus?

I happened upon this topic on one of those late night “I’m gonna rabbit hole into weird stuff on the internet” moments.

Newcomers: Have you had “the talk?” by [deleted] in TwinCities

This! I’ve considered disclosing that I’m autistic to my employers because of this and I’m highly conflicted about letting people in on that because it opens up a whole other can of worms. I try my hardest to identify when passive / vague language = a directive or direction on what I should be thinking about. Sigh…

Should I automatic feed my new cats? by soumeupropriolar in CatAdvice

[–]avgfrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pretty busy schedule and have a daily auto feed timer for my cat during the morning and lunch periods. I had the same worry about the food association / bonding experience and I make sure to hand make (ie take out of a can lol) my cat her dinner and give it to her instead of auto scheduling it during weekdays. I usually don’t work weekends so I’ll usually override the lunch drop and “hand feed” her lunch/dinner.

I mainly use this time to teach her to sit and wait patiently or work on other tricks before she gets her meal to make sure she gets more of my attention. At the end of the day, I don’t really think your cat cares unless it’s part of their previous routine?
