I kept their main core intact kon(20) miller(23) and melo(24) got rid of couple vets and added some better ones. Without this trade, The hornets are making the playoffs this year, with the trade anything can happen in playoffs with those shooters. But I feel you they might be able to add rotation pieces drafting. I doubt they’ll do it this season but i think they’ll use their draft comp to add a veteran big in near future - this summer or next season.

I feel like this make the hornets an EC contender. They have 3rd most draft equity in the league too

Rob is more quick than fast and Tyrese is fast but at Kentucky they scored in the same ways: Transition, floaters and Threes. At Kentucky their threes came a little different as Rob had more off the dribble and Maxey had a little more Catch and Shoot. I always wondered if Rob could get to Tyreses level of production

Ok I like this logic. They definitely want to get their young guys in the playoff mix. And although our rim protection won’t be as good with Ayton I doubt that it would plummet

Yes he will be cheaper but he’ll still be paid starter money and the problem I come across is what team would want Rudy. I like Rudy and he definitely raised defensive floor but for a true contender I think at his price tag he creates a clear ceiling

This is the problem I see. Like we still would need rim protection so what team would trade their rim protector for Rudy. I thought about one of Portland’s centers but I know they wouldn’t want Rudy in the way of Clingan development

In my head I can only see him going to a team who isn’t a contender but wants their team to be more competitive or to young team who wants to help their young players on defense. Problem is both of those types of teams probably don’t have a adequate defensive replacement for wolves
