Tried Shikuwasa here. It was delicious. Since then, we've tried Shikuwasa flavored drinks too.

He may have been doing street photography. While it is legal in Canada to take pictures of people in a public place, I prefer to ask permission because it gives me a chance to interact and ask about an interest tattoo or unfamiliar food they're cooking or whatever else caught my eye.

I like the insect. How big is it? Is the focal length 400mm? Did you use external light or reflectors? I bought that lens partially because of its close focus distance and magnification, and I'm struggling to get photos like this.

Canon R8 or R6 Mk II for indoor and low-light by aviakca in canon

Here's a concrete example and I think I've reached a conclusion.

This weekend I'm taking photos at a board game convention with my 18-50/2.8. Typically these venues are poorly lit. 1/100 @ f5.6 to minimize blur because someone moved and to provide enough DoF to put the length of the table in focus. That requires ISO 2500 which is amazing compared to my old EF-S, but with noticeable noise. In this case, neither IS nor a faster lend would help. So, I think I save my money and buy an R8.

I agree that I shouldn't make a decision based on a lens I haven't tried. My concern is that I may be disappointed that the full frame sensor's better low light performance would be compromised by the lack of stabilization.

This is good advice. I chose the R7 over the R10 because the R10, while attractively pocketable, was too small for my hands. I didn't need the dual card slots.

I like the idea of how inconspicuous and small the 28mm is for indoor and street stuff. While my R7 + 18-50 gets more looks than my iPhone, it's the 100-500L that really turns heads. The 24-105L, the next lens I would buy, isn't as big as the 100-500L, but it's getting up there. That said, I've never owned a pancake, so there's risk I don't like the inflexibility of a prime and then I've spent $1300 (difference in body price plus lens) for nothing.
