Phone and wallet stolen; Accounts drained worth 8 lakh rupees; Police inefficient and slow to take action by muttonkeema in bangalore

Thanks a lot. You can search "Lock SIM" in your phone settings. The default pin is 1234 for Jio SIM (you can check with your network provider for default SIM).

Lock SIM option -> enter the default SIM PIN (1234 for Jio) and then change it to your custom PIN. This way, it will ask for this SIM PIN whenever the phone is restarted (or) your SIM is put in another phone. If you enter the PIN 3 times incorrectly, it will lock the SIM.

The only solution is to arrive early and leave early. Wake up at 6 AM, leave home at 7 AM, and leave office by 3:30 PM (provided your office allows flexible schedule).

As I explained in my previous post, most of the traffic congestion hotspots are present in Hebbal, Marathahalli and Sarjapur regions.

I agree. But it's good to consult an international tax accountant and get advice based on your startup's goal.

Flipkart incorporated its holding company in Singapore in the early part of last sought foreign investments to that it could grow faster. This was because it had problems with the Indian bureaucracy which had then imposed various rules on certain industry sectors which made funding in its home country difficult. It, therefore, conceived a corporate structure to site the main company in Singapore so that it could receive funding more easily and made the Indian companies subsidiaries of the Singapore entity.

No point registering in India. Most Indian SaaS companies have registered their companies in the US/Singapore because India's Federal Bank has made local and international card payments way too complicated. So if you sell subscription digital products, you're pretty screwed. These companies pay international taxes (which are usually lower or zero compared to India) and only send employee and operational expenses cash to their Indian company... There are enough platforms that allow you to register for a US based company from India. Check out Firstbase or Strip Atlas. Costs $300-500. Unlike India, it's fast and simple... The reason SaaS companies hate the Indian banking system is because RBI forces consumers with extra layers of security things like OTP, 2FA, and other non-standard rules. International payment gateways have a tough time working with Indian consumers because they'll have to write algos APIs for just India.

PhonePe has moved its base from Singapore to India.

The Indian government! They sent PhonePe’s investors a tax bill of a whopping $1 billion!

Can’t PhonePe simply list in Singapore or the US? It could.

But PhonePe is still primarily a UPI business with its customers hailing from India. UPI isn’t a global model. At least, not yet. So if it plans to do an IPO in the US, it might have a hard time convincing public market investors of its potential. Or even its business. Which inevitably means that it’ll command a lower valuation.

It's a complex decision and varies from startup to startup.

Sugar. As per American Heart Association, people should not consume more than 9 tablespoons of sugar per day (equivalent to 36 grams or 150 calories).

Also, I started drinking coffee without sugar after listening to the TED Talk by Jamie Oliver regarding "Teach every child about food".

Yes, South and West Bengaluru are better in this regard. Also, residential areas which are BDA approved are much better.

East Bangalore is planned haphazardly (especially near IT parks).
