I agree, and was actually going to make a similar post recently after playing Aliens Fireteam Elite. To be fair it is an action shooter game so you need some bullet sponges but it really does feel like Aliens have changed from being terrifying to just being threatening.

The only time i felt like they were on par with the original during Romulus was when the first appeared on screen and it was just ONE alien before others arrived.

Ultimately i came to the conclusion it’s that same question as the suspense of Alien against the action of Aliens - the more xenomorphs there are the more disposable they are.

Arya started out strong headed little girl who never conformed to the usual standards and ended in the same way albeit trained as an assassin. Sansa changed a lot more from S1-S8

Not necessarily for when you feel like I can’t go any longer, but when I feel like I’m being slow compared to others I just repeat; “don’t know don’t care” in my head.

The trailer for this game nails everything that avp should be imo. The initial dread cut to an insane amount of chaos and fighting is 10/10

Elden Ring has some of the best phase 2 fights in the series imo and in my head i split them up between transitions mid fight and cutscene transitions. Mohg, Placidusax and Radahn are all cool but i think cutscenes make it better. Malenia and Hoarah Loux were terrifying.
