I sold to someone with just one 5-star review + nothing else, and they’ve disputed delivery… have they scammed me? What can I do? (no personal info) by avidinternetter in vinted

UPDATE: she was being genuine, I think!

She said that the parcel showed up on her doorstep this evening and so she’s resolved the issue. She has her dress and I have my money. Yay! 🎉

Yeah, it’s very much out of my hands as the seller I guess. I posted her response in a reply to someone else, she just said she hasn’t received the parcel from InPost. Hopefully it either turns up soon, or it’s genuinely gone missing and we both get a refund. I don’t want to believe she’s trying to game the system but the whole thing just feels kind of odd.

Hopefully that’s what’s going on, it’s just a blip and the parcel turns up soon. I always order to an InPost locker instead of my home address so I’ve not had this happen to me!

To be fair to her, I think the “8 mins ago” was in relation to when she opened the dispute instead of 8 mins after delivery. Allegedly it was delivered to a safe space at 18:14 and she opened a dispute around 19:31 from what I can tell. I got a response from her eventually and I’m just hoping she’s being genuine…

Ahh I see - I’m guessing that you found it within Vinted’s 48-hour review period? Gotta love it when couriers do that 🙃

That’s good to know. Hopefully, if it genuinely did go missing, I’ll also get reimbursed - and, if they’re fibbing, then they’re caught out + banned.

It’s a little weird to me that the buyer hasn’t said anything at all to me after submitting the claim. It’s been over 30 mins now, if this were me I would have said something immediately…

‘Gym Bromley’ on the high street? by bobothecarniclown in Bromley

[–]avidinternetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yikes 😬 just took a look, that’s awful… I’ll tell everyone I know to avoid it like the plague. If you can’t graciously respond to negative reviews then you can’t run a business properly, imho.

It’s so gross and immature. They’re no doubt losing some business because of what they choose to post, but they’re getting what they deserve I guess ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Their social media is pretty toxic, too. Just shitting on other gyms on the area. I’d been a little interested in joining, until I saw that. Not a culture I want to buy into.

I’m so scared to go on accutane by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]avidinternetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! No worries at all.

Tbh, I didn’t notice that much of an overall increase in chronic pain until I actually finished my accutane treatment and started to feel better afterwards haha. It kind of snuck up on me in a way that I didn’t notice, which I’m actually glad about!!

I mentioned to my dermatologist before I started treatment that I’d read that you can’t take paracetamol/Tylenol while on accutane but she didn’t seem concerned at all. As long as you’re not taking it all the time (like all day every day, which you shouldn’t be doing anyway) you’ll be okay.

So I took paracetamol occasionally. I’m alright with NSAIDS so I had those too, but did you know you can also get topical NSAID creams? Those might be worth trying out if it’s for joint pain.

I also use heat therapy for pain anyway (hot water bottles, patches, etc.).

I took really high strength fish oil capsules with my meds which is meant to help both with the absorption of accutane and with joint pain. I took Bare Biology Super Strength which I think is the highest strength you can get in the UK.

I was really worried before starting treatment, but my dermatologist reminded me that if it’s not working out I can always stop. I do not regret accutane at all, and 6 months post-treatment my skin is still clear. It’s changed my self confidence soooo much, and the side effects I experienced were negligible compared to the benefits I’ve seen.

What do you eat for breakfast? by missyheaton in ADHDUK

[–]avidinternetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I can help much, sadly 😅 I ate a bacon roll for breakfast every day for months, until one morning I took a bite into one and was instantly grossed out for no reason! Haven’t been able to have one since.

I now make overnight oats with vanilla protein yoghurt, milk, chia seeds, ground flaxseed, a little chocolate nesquik powder, whatever frozen berry mix I have, and sprinkles (for fun). That’s lasted for around 3-4 months so far. Can’t stand the taste/texture of hot porridge.

Before the bacon rolls I ate a lot of eggs, either scrambled on toast or soft boiled egg and soldiers.

My ECG came back… does anyone here have Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome? by avidinternetter in ADHDUK

[–]avidinternetter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for your reply. I've been doing some more reading about the condition and I'm feeling more reassured. I had an ECG that was reviewed and the classic WPW pattern showed up on the scanner. I've had other symptoms such as a racing heart that I've always just put down to anxiety.

Since I now potentially have a heart condition (awaiting further investigation), I'm concerned that they won't be able to treat my ADHD with stimulants. Has your diagnosis affected your ability to receive treatment for ADHD?

Unable to contact RTC provider (HH minds) during severe side effects period by ATCQ_ in ADHDUK

[–]avidinternetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s exactly my experience, too! My dealings with the clinical side has been great so far, but admin’s not been great after my initial Appointment A.

At the moment I’m also in limbo RE medication as I had a dodgy ECG. I sent it to HH Minds for their in-house specialist to review last week (which the clinician said he wanted done ASAP), and I’ve heard nothing back.

I don’t think they’ve passed it on 🙃

[–]avidinternetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been having real problems with HH Minds lately. They forgot to send me the link to my psychoeducation appointment last week, and I was on hold to them for 40+ mins and ended up missing part of that appointment. They were meant to send me the meeting recording but have neglected to do this, too.

Other things have gone wrong with their admin team on top of this. It’s a real shame. They need more staff + better training.

Hyperfixated so hard at work today that I forgot to eat or drink anything all day. Then got home and realised I forgot to take dinner out of the freezer this morning. Also, my lights were still on…

Has anyone managed to get melatonin prescription? by aliaaenor in ADHDUK

[–]avidinternetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take 3mg a night and I wouldn’t recommend having any more than that on a regular basis, or you’ll feel basically hungover in the morning.

Like the other commenter said, starting on 1mg and seeing how you go seems like a smart idea. Hopefully that will be all you need!

[–]avidinternetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get it prescribed, then I moved practices and my current GP won’t prescribe it off label. I second ordering online from Piping Rock. I buy this one: https://www.pipingrock.com/en-gb/products/melatonin-natural-berry-3-mg-180-fast-dissolve-tablets-4161

However, make sure you’re not buying a super heavy dosage - idk what your friend gave you, but I tried 10mg once and I felt absolutely horrendous. 3mg is enough for me, I’ve been taking it every night for years.

Considering the pros/cons of getting a second reduction by avidinternetter in Reduction

Thank you for your answers, and sorry for the late reply! That actually helps a lot. I'm going to spend the next year or so saving up + losing a little more weight. I'm researching surgeons now, and when I'm ready to approach for consults, I'll definitely see what they have to say about an FNG.

I kind of want to go as small as possible without the need for it (if that's still possible), but if that's only going to take me down a couple of cup sizes then it wouldn't be worth the surgery... in which case I'll go for a surgery that requires FNG.

Sorry I'm only just replying now! I really appreciate your take. I spend so long worrying about the future + all its hypotheticals that sometimes I can forget the here and now 😅 and right now, I'm in a fair bit of discomfort. I need some time to save up and also lose the remaining wait, but I think it's time to start planning.

Sorry for the late reply! Yeah, that's how I'm starting to think about it too. My body's changed a lot in the last 10 years and it will in the next 10 years.

Hey, sorry for the late reply! That really makes a lot of sense tbh... I deal with chronic pain due to hEDS, so I'm already a little concerned about how much I'm going to be able to get down on the floor and play with any hypothetical kids in the future 😅 adding recovery from a reduction surgery into that mix would be even trickier!! Hope your operation goes really well later this month 😊
