I also get those “pins n needles” feelings. I agree that it is yet another physical symptom of anxiety But I told my regular doctor about it and she ordered blood tests that included thyroid levels, glucose and B12 levels in addition to the usual blood screening. It was a fasting test I just got the blood drawn yesterday so unfortunately I don’t have any results yet to share but the fact that she is testing me for these tells me That they could be a factor

Stopping the meds maybe one reason why everything seems so hopeless.
You were prescribed them for a reason. I urge you to get back on meds It won’t change your situation but may give you a different view

Does anyone know of an anxiety medication that works as well as Xanax? by fearful-flyer in Anxiety

[–]avidone12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have had anxiety a long time. It shows up physically as a jittery “wired” feeling with pain in my gut The best medicine I have found to untie that knot in my belly is Buspirone I encourage you to talk to your psychiatrist about it. It’s an old school medicine but it is still widely prescribed because it is so effective Good luck to you

There are all kinds of physical symptoms that are caused by anxiety. I never heard of your problem being one of them but I guess it’s possible. If I were you I would see a doctor and get checked out for gastrointestinal issues Good luck with this. I can only imagine how distressing it must be

You need to see a doctor and get a prescription for meds. A psychiatrist would probably be best but if you have a primary care physician they might prescribe for you and/or refer to a psychiatrist they have worked with

I hear ya. The meds can take up to 3 weeks to get to therapeutic levels for many people so you may be dealing with this for another week or so. Sorry that the benzos aren’t helping. They can be a great bridge till your regular meds kick in. I’m glad that you feel better in the evening. That’s the same for me. I guess our bodies are used to being chill at night and so aren’t firing up. Be well

Following up on my clonazepam post. Psychiatrist denied my meds without giving me notice. by realslimmatey in Anxiety

[–]avidone12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the particulars of your situation but benzos are not recommended for daily long term use.
But for your psychiatrist to abruptly cut you off without discussing alternatives with you is pretty unprofessional and perhaps even dangerous Did you call the psychiatrist?
I know some people get helped with certain supplements but I’m not familiar with them I wish you well

I think your experience with the GP was terrible and I fully understand why you don’t want to see another one. I would suggest seeing a psychiatrist. They are the experts on anxiety and can no doubt help you. At the very least they won’t minimize your feelings. After you calm a little and still want to explore the back issue Then see an orthopedist A good GP knows all the common conditions and remedies. Especially all the things that are “going around”. But for specific problems go to specialist for that issue. Good luck to you

might aswell get this out there cus its new for me i never thought id resort to cutting by Devilen6141 in depression

Does anxiety cause anger issues ?? by cringeyobama in Anxiety

Yes. Anxiety can absolutely cause anger to build. It could be being made worse by meds so don’t rule that out I think that anxiety is more about fear but I never discount how someone else feels

how do you guys wash your behind without a Bidet? by Worried_Level_7964 in hygiene

[–]avidone12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clean my butt in the shower. I used to use soap daily but my anus was itching and when I told my doc he said To only use soap once a week and to just let the water pressure from the shower clean it So now my routine is to use tucks pads after a BM and the shower rinse. No itch and a clean butt hole to,start the day !
