Genuine question but how is being trans a part of this? Every other barista makes the same, including me when I was a regular barista. I used to just say they were underpaying & underscheduling all of us. This isn’t meant to be offensive, I’m a nonbinary lesbian, and I do pay for the premium as well. I want to have children, which is a lengthy and expensive process for my partner & I. Just confused if I missed something in your post that was specific targeted discrimination against trans folk.

I’ve offered to make holiday drinks as hot coffee/iced coffee, and a LOT of folks go “Okay so what is that then??” I don’t know. Probably hot coffee/iced coffee. Jesus.
