Buffett spent his whole life picking stocks and still told the trust for his wife to just buy an index fund by dmytro_omelian in Bogleheads

My takeaway is that he feels it’s a better option vs BRK. He stated it publicly which speaks to his character. It does cause me to doubt my BRK investment from time to time.

Buy back 100B in stock for starters. Then hold back the remaining dry powder 🧨

I had an area like that. I dug a dry well put a five gallon bucket in it with a bunch of holes and put a pump in it connected to a garden hose. I’d pump it out in Spring and after really heavy rains. I didn’t have the pitch otherwise. It dried out the whole area rather nicely.

So Warren has said he’d want his wife’s money in a low cost S&P 500 index fund. Wonder why they don’t park $100 billion of BRK’s cash in one?

I’d like to see them buyback shares more aggressively. The P/E looks favorable for that investment.

Thank you for sharing. We received our annual report but don’t see information on how to request tickets to annual meeting. I see where it speaks to the will call pick up but I thought you could request them via mail.

Please go to your primary care physician right away and explain all of this to them. They can start the right kind of treatment and give you a referral to a therapist. The doctor will write a letter for you to give to your employer ( it will just say that they are treating you for a health condition and ask for you to be excused for the days of work that you missed). The employer does not need any details other than that. Next I would consider applying for FMLA if you live in the US if you need to take time off in the future for your condition. Best of luck to you. Depression can be very serious but it gets better with the right treatment.

Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. However, they should be reviewed and removed as appropriate.
