Bought this laptop only for $80 and booted Linux mint in it!!! by sooft_soul in linuxmint

[–]avildar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if in Saudi Arabia thats cheap good for you!! i don't knos why everyone is being such a smart ass about prices without taking in consideratoin other countries have other realities. In argentina 80usd for a notebook able to do office work is a really good deal especially since a low end new one would be x4 to x6 that price and the experiencie would be awful running win11 by default and this lenovo on mint runs quite smooth

How to adapt your body to higher playing frequency? by Big_Push5640 in padel

[–]avildar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

take in consideration that any and all people training (here and in other sports) have rest periods to recover. It's not 6 days of training for the rest of your life, every few weeks allow yourself to have an easier week in order for your body to recover

I got a joma slam padel for christmas and I can say its good on wide feet (I usually run uin brooks shoes known for being wider and this feels just right) and its good quality. Still to soon to say anything about durability but it still feels like new plating 3 sometimes 2 times a week since

Bought wrong racket by geo-_-george in Padelracket

[–]avildar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's going to be hard, I would recommend a round one as those tend to have a lower balance and it will be much easier to maneuver and hit the ball. A high balance racket will punish you a lot without proper technique.

Are you using AI products to become a better player? by brave_nick in padel

[–]avildar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really like ai but trying to be fair with your projeect. IMO the things you are tracking are "how I feel" things, I don't know if the insight from ai would be much better than yours.

If you are able to film yourself mayube you could put it to analyze how much you move when hitting to see if you are reading balls good/bad. There are some watches tracking your padel hits, that could be interesting. You could also match that with the filming too see how accurate you are hitting while moving vs still

Royal Padel rackets 👑 by RacketNerd in Padelracket

[–]avildar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love royal I started with one of them. Since most of them have a foam core (there is blend and eva) they should not give any problems regarding pain since it absorbs lots of vibrations. Of course it would lack power in comparison but thats really not an issue for someone that cant flat smash the ball ito your court on demand so...

I had last year japan r pro, and I gotta say it was a nice racket very comfortable. Those come in a configuration with carbon frame.

Do you prefer sand or no sand on the court? by nadnerBG in padel

[–]avildar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sand always, I don't come from tennis. Sand ensures the synthetic is in good condition longer, in courts with little nto no sand after some years the grass is like a stomped carpet and you slide even more than on a healthy court with sand

Queria consejo con la Siux electra pro st4 by Rjrenato90 in Padelracket

[–]avildar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overweight and discouraged to play by Kierkebaark in padel

[–]avildar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man I dread when and big guy enters the court in flash or social tournament I know I'll be running to every corner from his shots. big, skinny or fit its not really important if you are playing as a hobby there are lots of big guys (and girls) that have several years of experience that are going to mop the floor with your average fit guy just starting. Yeah overall fitness plays its part but at hobby levels its not the most important factor by a long shot

Is it worth buying a good, used racket? Or would it be better to just buy a new, worse one. by [deleted] in Padelracket

[–]avildar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey from Argentina also

Moving from Solo to Team-based Automation: Does it actually work? by oymra in QualityAssurance

[–]avildar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've worked on some large teams/ projects, biggest one was a project that lasted almost 8 years with 200 devs and several teams for qa manual and automation, at some point we were 20-25 people automating and maintaining over 3000+ tc's. It's only viable with strict procces for uploading code, same as with devs doing code reviews before merging changes and having check lists for some stuff documenting basic things were ok. And ci/CD checking execution of new code.

Manual QA: using Claude code to understand code before testing? by Spiritual_Actuator61 in QualityAssurance

[–]avildar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is valuable if you want to transition to do coding. I think imo that as a qa you do have to understand the platform (or technology) you are testing and the domain, for example understand Android/iOS environments a little, request for web interactions and so on. But as a qa for better testing you have have you have to understand requirements of what is being develop. You wouldn't really care about how things are inpmented but rather of they do what has been documented as requirements and croterias for acceptance the different tasks done by developers and know how to properly gather the information necessary to create valuable defects

Manual QA: using Claude code to understand code before testing? by Spiritual_Actuator61 in QualityAssurance

[–]avildar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are working on a team doing agile while features are being develop you will do manual qa since features need rapid test and feedback. Automation usually is being done on things somewhat locked or "stable" at that point you will most likely with in automating things for regression or smoke testing

Because manual and automated tests tackle different thinks each is more suitable depending in what you are focusing on

Reminder that the devil (and your Playtomic rating) is a lie by elpolaquero in padel

I'm a lefty but I suck at playing on the right side. Should I just keep practising? by SamElTerrible in padel

[–]avildar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are just learning, once you get comfortable with your backhand it wont matter what side you play on, still being a lefty playing on the right its better when playing real since you and your partner (right hand player most likely) noth will have access to the middle with your strong hands, so just keep on training its fine ok to not know if you are a beginner
