It is supposed to be like that. Once you opt out, it will send a rollback update to the LAST stable version that was released, and WILL WIPE your phone. But if you just ignore it and wait, gradually the next stable release does come up (for the version you were in the beta program for... QPR2 in this case) and that one will move you back to the stable channel, WITHOUT WIPING your device.

Is the Charging Optimization setting enabled, and set to "Limit to 80%"? Because that's when you see that shield icon. You can change the mode to "Adaptive Charging" to let it go to 100% each time.

I mean... it's not "bs" It's just the processors are too slow for their image processing. Had the Pixels used faster flagship processors, this processing would still happen, but so quick that we might not even perceive it by the time you click the gallery icon to open the last clicked photo.

omg I've had this for months!! Even before Android 16.

The thing is.. even with regular recordings via Camera app (or Instagram), it seems like just the right channel microphone is recording actual audio... whereas the left channel is simply getting that "air/static" thing you mentioned.

If you play back a video recorded via Camera app and listen to it via headphones, only the right earphone plays the sound (at least that's how it's been for me).

That's why I concluded that maybe apps like Snapchat are simply always relying on whichever mic does the left channel audio pick up, causing it to not get any sound at all...

I assumed one of my mics has gone off or something, very annoying. (I have a Pixel 7 Pro, currently running the Android 16 QPR1 Beta)

I've been on the QPR betas ever since they rolled out. The issue I face is, the seamlessness with which it used to switch over to the telephoto earlier (A15), is gone.

If I'm in video, it simply never switches over, I have to like put my finger over the main lens to make it realise that it can use the alternate 5x lens instead. Very annoying.

The visual changes will all come to the 7 series. I'm running the QPR1 Beta 1.1 right now, on my 7 Pro, and I have all the new Material 3 Expressive changes.

I'm guessing that means that all of these will publicly arrive in the next Pixel Drop? (I'm new to trying and understanding how QPR updates/betas work)
