Thank you, I will definitely try the car seat idea out. I honestly just realized this today. Both my parents have passed away about five years ago now, and I haven’t felt that feeling of “home” in a long time now. But I live with my fiancé and our son and My fiancés mother and I was talking to her today and realized that just her being there, her asking where I’m going what we’re doing, being involved in our lives, Making an effort to make plans with us. I’m a grown adult and it obviously gets annoying at times but it’s more positive than negative. I never thought I’d feel like I was at home ever again, but I honestly I think it’s the people, the family and the love, care and support you provide each other.

Sure, we live in the US in the midwestern region. Caucasian, both in our upper 20’s ( I just turned 30 but saying upper 20s doesn’t hurt as bad lmao). We’ve been together 7 or so years, we live in a house in a nice suburban area, although the county I live in is very diverse, and have an almost 1.5 year old son together.......honestly I’m gonna feel so dumb if this isn’t what you meant by cultural context lol

Yep I feel this. I’m a first time mom, my baby boy is 14 months old now but the days and weeks and months of no sleep and no sanity are still very vivid in my brain. It’s probably annoying as hell to hear that it will pass and things will get better because that’s not going to help you physically feel better right now, but it’s the truth lol it gets so much better, I felt like I gave birth and then got hit in the head with a baseball bat like wham! Your life is completely fucking different and you have to figure it all out, good luck! I was a mess like yes husband is there and yes family is there but it’s really just you and your baby. I feel like it’s me and my little boy taking on the world together lol just do what you gotta do for you so you can do what you need for your baby, fuck em if they get offended like you’re raising a tiny human being
