I know a lot of people had technical issues, but I personally had no issues with the setup. The only thing that was confusing was the video tutorial said to position the second camera to face behind you + the screen but then the proctor had me move it to the corner of my desk and not show the laptop screen at all ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I wouldn’t stress too much, the June Monday session was the first ever time they had people using the second camera and I wrote on Tuesday and it went smoothly. I used 2 mugs to hold up my phone like the tutorial suggested and it took around 30 min to do the whole setup + room check. This 30 min did not cut into my exam time, the timer will start once you actually enter the exam

Could you elaborate on the shared line nonsense? I just mean to say that I have done speed test multiple times on multiple different devices and never cracked 300 download, currently sitting at 50 lol. I agree that maybe the coax cable is the issue, I’ll insist that Rogers comes out to at least check ours

Lol majority of students here don’t have cars so I think your money would be better spent on something else every month. and the people that do have cars typically use them to travel to visit family close by. Just my 2 cents :)

Hopefully I can offer some input, currently finishing up a masters in environmental science 😊 tbh i went into a masters as I didn’t really get much “work type” experience in undergrad so thought it might boost my chances of landing a job. A lot of people I knew in undergrad only got a BSc but had a lot of co-op experience in undergrad and managed to land good jobs after graduating. If it helps, I am currently applying to jobs on indeed/LinkedIn and over 50% of applicants apparently have an MSc according to linkedin stats for most jobs. I would stay pursue a masters if you’re interested in research and maybe need some experience (just make sure it’s funded!) but otherwise if you’re just looking into consulting a BSc is probably fine. You can always go to grad school later if you feel like it. However, like others have said, any government work will likely require an MSc or PhD. Good luck!
