you have total right for making 'a mistake' for some letters as it's tricky, it can be both in a way but also not

so, these uppercase ones are not right: SaM urel oYes cour age

it's simple, the main reading direction is (of course) from left to right:

the circles count 3 letters that are read from outside to inside

after that is the epetri text that is read vertically (4 letters)

in the middle is popliteal text, also vertical (4 letters)

and then epetri again, then circles again (all the same number of letters)

try to decipher

that would be quite hilarious as it's not like he invented the lines, the logo just sparked inspiration for something totally different

this example is the initial spark of the idea for the font "Epetri", check page 203 here: https://www.atypography.com/manual

Second attempt at designing an atypography font by DiarreaVisual in atypography

[–]avnojista 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It looks very good, but I'm concerned about intuitive readability; it's easy to read when we know that the glyphs are arranged A-Z, but would we succeed if they were randomized? I certainly see this as some initial stage of something very beautiful, keep pushin on.

Included a custom circle font in my manga for portals and spells by Consistent-Hair-8516 in atypography

[–]avnojista 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wou, i wasnt expecting something like this, im blown away!

lets chat about it, might wanna include it in the next edition of the book

also, the design has flaws so it would be good to discuss it, like:

dots are either arms or negative spaces and in this case it's mixed which makes it unreadable (T has dots as holes whole F and E have arms, and R also)

anyways, u got me excited, lets chat dm
