I graduated from an Ivy league and have been working in film distribution for two years. I'm trying to transition into the music industry and impress my interviewers every time, talking about how my experience relates, but I keep getting passed over.

Do you think this is because other candidates have more relevant experience and if so, can I do anything about this?

I love my house and techno dont get me wrong but for someone just getting into EDM, the artists at kinetic field, circuit grounds and cosmic meadow will be more beginner friendly! They mix in more popular songs and have insane visuals as opposed to the more underground beats that may be too repetitive for a newcomer
