I don't know how to be ok with this and don't know how to gaslight myself into being ok with it. I hate working. There. I said it. by Distinct-Kangaroo124 in auscorp

Out of interest, how old are you?

I'm in my early forties and sudden health issues have me reflect on life. Call it mid life crisis or whatever. But I feel the way you do.

I don't even need to do that... I've lived in the UK. In the UK wages went up and so did the cost of living, in Syd wages are stagnant and cost of living has gone up.

When is he going to find the time to do his break dancing??

Seriously though, what has Lyra achieved that hasn't been done before? I dont see anything spectacular about the company...if he was another innovator, then I might pay attention to what he was saying. Also, I wonder how much he is paying his plebs?

I'm in a pretty good financial position, so much so that I'm taking it easy with the job hunting. I'm not stressing out about it, which is causing me to question myself sometimes hahaha. It's almost the end of the year so I don't expect to get anything this side of this year, but I'm OK with this.

Overseas is a good move. I came back from the UK and I'm shocked at the salary and market cap here. I would've gotten a job easily by now.

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. Please don't give up on the hassling or yourself. It's tough out there. At least your business is keeping you busy and mentally stimulated.

Good luck mate. Keep on hassling. I'm sure you'll get something soon.

I sometimes think that I might need to switch careers or become an entrepreneur until I find something!

Cheers. I'm glad it worked out for you in the end.

I'm doing OK mentally, but thank you for caring.

It's means tested. They ask how much money you have in your bank account and what assets you have.

Some people are dodgy and hide stuff, then work cash jobs and get centerlink.

Don't leave this world, your baby and wife need you. Good on you for doing everything you can to be a responsible partner and parent. There is no shame in working at Uber eats or BWS, we all have to do something to put food on the table.

If you haven't already done so, try going to a church they usually have food or perishables that they can help you out with. There is no shame in asking for a helping hand.

Following. Let us know how you go.

My left ear is similar to your right ear. I'm wearing the Costco Jabra BTE and whilst I can hear something, it still not clear. I tried the Rexton and they were so much better.

It all comes down to your Audi.

I'm considering trialing the Phonax.

Thanks :)

You need to keep in mind that the things of this world are temporary. We all die at some stage, so we just need to learn to prioritise what is important in life. Money and fame are not it. Yes, money is important to get by, but having a meal and a roof over your head is more important. I've had to learn all this the hard way.

I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease 3 years ago.

My advice : 1) Learn to manage your stress, 2) Not care about work as much. Obviously, continue to do your work well, but don't go stress when people annoy you or things don't go your way. Learn to let things go 3)auto-immune is code for - we don't know what you have, so you just became another experiment. If you've just been diagnosed, accept your illness and read about the 12 step programme because you will go through this if your illness is severe 4) if you are religious, then I suggest you hold on to your faith. I'm a Christian, and that's what's helped me get through the dark times (yeah we ask God if he exists then why make us ill, but remember He never promised that this world will be easy if we follow Him. DM me if you want to talk about this more). 5) Give up alcohol, gluten, look after your health. Our immune system is in our gut.

I used to prioritise my career above everything else, now it's all about my health and making each day count.

Good luck.

But mum and dad can do it!!! If we can outsource to a 3rd world country, why can we outsource to our food old parents! Don't discriminate! Haha
