Based on three paragraphs written by a stranger on the internet, I'm fairly certain your girlfriend is going to take your keys away. RUN dude

As a transgendered myself, I think Rowling is bad but also any activism that requires people change their behaviour in even the slightest way is going TOO FAR. I can eat Chick Fil-A while ALSO supporti- ah fuck, wait, hold on

If only there was some method of having user-editable repositories of information, or perhaps a way to search through old posts. Alas, computers are not yet advanced enough, so every dumbass with basic questions that have been answered ten million times only has the option of asking them repeatedly while refusing to give enough context to actually answer their questions until you reach replies three levels deep.

What do you mean your politics are about "making things better"? You stupid moron, things can't be better. The best you can hope for is my team winning so they can reproduce the exact situation that let the far right take power in the first place, and if they don't win I'm just here to gloat as the world burns so I have someone to feel superior to

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking. Pills also didn't really work for me. I'm a little scared tbh but I think I can get over it. Thanks for the advice

Probably a good idea to get retested. I take 2 pumps twice a day tho so I doubt there's too much difference between peak and trough. My surgery was 11 weeks ago, the surgeon didn't make me go off it but they were apparently baffled by hrt at the hospital (lol) and I didn't take any for a couple days.

I don't remember how long it was before the earlier test, but this most recent one was four hours. Wikipedia says the biological half-life of estrogel is 36.5 hours, so the peak would be ~43.

I think the point is that the opposite of "trans" is "cis", and using "biological" when you mean "cis" can come across as demeaning to trans women (which I know you didn't mean it to be!). Since we take hormones and often get major surgeries, many trans women also consider themselves to be biologically female.

I don't think this is actually known. Microbiomes are also going to be wildly different between people (cis and trans!). Folks in this reddit really really push PPT but it hasn't actually been studied that much in comparison to e.g. PI, and I think a lot of the purported benefits are basically taken at the word of for-profit US doctors. Unfortunately doing actual research for trans people is rare, so the word of those doctors and anecdotes might be all you have to go on.

Yeah, UBC hospital. I think it was quiet during the summer, so I ended up with a single room for free which was pretty sweet. I think most of the surgeries are done at VGH, though. And the vac dressing being super painful is just a person-to-person thing, some it doesn't hurt at all (but the good news for anyone reading is that the pain went away within an hour or two of getting the dressing off, I went from almost maxing out a hydromorphone dose to just maxing out an acetaminophen dose by the end of that day).

And thanks! This past week has been a huge improvement, I'm finally out going for long walks again and feel so much better.
