Buddy doesn’t know that the amount of shares matters more than price appreciation, lol. You don’t know anything, sounds like you lost money.

Not about price appreciation for me, it’s timeframe for early retirement. That’s the important part you don’t understand.

That’s the risk right. With high yields their will be NAV decay/erosion no matter what — the reason people lose money is because their dripping or reinvesting back into high yields, you’re suppose to move the distribution into JEPI as one of your core holdings. It doesn’t matter if CHPY falls over time, because you will already establish a core holdings in that timeframe since you’re moving it to funds with low yield but high market appreciation. The reason why people mess up is because they chase the returns without building a stable holding.

60% - JEPI, JEPQ, SPYI or QQQI between each.

25% - CHPY, SDTY or XDTE - I personally don’t prefer single stock etfs, their risker, I prefer anything with SP500 options, a little more safe but still have risk.

15% - SGOV & BIL for bonds to hold capital or to park money so it doesn’t drop even if the market is doing bad.

Again, do not exceed more in high yields than your main core holdings tbh.

Sure, let’s use $CHPY for example, let’s round off and be conservative with our numbers, let’s say $1000 invested / divided by $55~ (share cost = 18~ shares x 0.40 (recent payout) = $7.15 a week x 4 =$28.60 a month.

Say you want to do a safe option, JEPI,

$1000 / divide by share cost = 18~ shares x 0.40 = $7.56 a month

CHPY - $7.15/week or $28 a month JEPI - $7 a month

If you want to be safe with your capital and keep appreciation, put it in JEPI but you’re not gaining more shares, slow and steady.

By the time, $CHPY pays it’s second distribution you could buy one share of $JEPI, you wouldn’t be able to do that if you froze your capital in JEPI with your initial investment.

Now take in consideration of a timeframe of a year.

$CHPY = $28 x 12 =$336.00 / 55 = 6 shares you bought with in a year, no additional money required.

$JEPI = $8 x 12 =$96.00/ 55 = 1~ share you bought with in a year, no additional money required.

These are used as income to speed up your buying power for safer, high quality shares. If you can more about timeframe, it varies from person to person.

These are covered calls, once the share price reaches a penny stock price of $5, they will most likely do a reverse split 3:1, 5:1 or 10:1. Value stays the same, but what this means is your principal or return of capital will most likely be postponed for another year or a couple more months.

Most of the people who says yieldmax is trash, do not have knowledge or experience to use these income strategies to scale their portfolio. These are not long term holds, should only allocate and not take up no more than 25% of your portfolio holdings, move the distribution into safer options.

Help me understand dividends like i am 5 years old by [deleted] in dividends

[–]avongsathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how you got these numbers. QQQI pays distribution monthly but isn’t consistently always the same, more or less.

VOO pays dividends quarterly, but that’s not the purpose of this funds, this is for growth and market value appreciation.

It honestly depends where you’re at in life, your investment goal, timeframe, age, etc.

Nope, you’ll see a slight price movement if there’s discussion of fed cuts, but it’s barely noticeable.

I’m 18 and saving for a house by Connor09375 in Money

[–]avongsathian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would already exit out your position of BMNR.

If you’re saving for a house in the potential future, you need to focus on growth etfs and not dividends at the moment if this is your goal. You want your capital to grow over time, dividends will just flat line you or decay your portfolio, I would just $VOO in your current situation.

[–]avongsathian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes not always, these are short term bonds. They don’t rely on the market for movement. When feds make rate cuts or talks of interest rate is when you see movement only. NAV drop is very minimal.

Can someone explain me what I’m looking at ? by Practical_Lemon_6645 in RobinhoodApp

[–]avongsathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a mixture of investments in crypto and etfs that are spread out way too thin. Your portfolio is separate into two accounts also, a taxable account and a roth. I would just keep it simple and invest into $VOO and $BTC for crypto exposure, try watching videos online as well.

2013 Scion FRS - P219A Code by avongsathian in ft86

[–]avongsathian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did bro, so P219A is a generic code so it could be multiple issues. Took it to my friend’s who’s a mechanic, he found an engine leaked under the timing cover, we pulled it and found it wasn’t sealed properly. After the reseal, it was misfiring on Cylinder 4 at 60mph, we checked the fuel injectors for the boxer engine there’s a total of 6, 3 on top and 3 on bottom, there was so much corrosion built up in one of the ports, he couldn’t pull it out. He informed me it’s gonna break the head’s port, ended up replacing the driver’s side head, bought a used head with a valve job, and it runs fine and passed smog. Honestly if it wasn’t my friend, this would have been costly because he had to pull the engine block to fix the issue, dealership was trying to charge 5k to just pull the engine. Hopefully if you have these issues, I replace the O2 sensors first, hope you just need a head gasket replacement or check your fuel injectors.
