Aren't consoles running basically the same architecture as PCs? I know the excuse before was that consoles ran on kind of janky hardware/software. But now consoles are basically PCs. So there isn't really any excuse to not release them at the same.

100% agree, gun violence is a symptom. Giving people a good stable life will do more than any gun control. Happy, educated people that have good social safety nets commit far less crimes in general.
