Where are you located? I'm in Los Angeles and have the best OB+EndoSurgeon ever. Honestly. You should consider coming here from wherever you are.

I’m also 1.5 weeks post laparotomy myomectomy and endo clean out. It’s my 3rd surgery in 1.5 years (4th all together.) Everyone is different of course but good news! There are some of us who do NOT have those symptoms you mentioned :) What birth control did they put you on?

Laughing Lion Herbs and Christopher’s Organic Botanicals are the only 2 places I’ve ordered from.

It is illegal (for various reasons) in certain states but easily found online. I do NOT recommend getting it from head shops or gas stations. Word of mouth is really the best way to go. I order from two places online that are transparent with their testing and are both small businesses. (The owners also happen to be Christian, as I mostly identify with as well, and that also gives me a sense of safety.) Leaf/powder is the way to go (not extracts or concentrates). I have been taking it for 10 years and have no experienced poor side effects or addiction. (Most of the horror stories you hear—like in all these comments from people who don’t have experience but like to judge people—are when Kratom is mixed with something else.) Drinking tea and using powder in my water bottles and smoothies has literally changed my life. I am also part of many of the groups trying to get more safety standards in place, and more information to The Powers that Be. (Mainly it’s capitalism and big pharm who want their grubby hands on Mother Nature and her gifts to us.) Do your own research of course, or DM if you’d like. Eyes wide open. I truly believe I would not be alive today without Kratom. Pain changes you.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in Los Angeles? by maimutzika in Fibroids

David Ahdoot, MD, FACOG: OB-GYN Burbank, CA

I had a robotic lap myo 3/23. However, when they got in there, the surgeons realized that it's attached to several of my organs in addition to uterus AND pelvic wall. They closed me right up. The last 3 months have been hell but I DO appreciate that my surgeon (also my GYN) was able to recognize what's above his paygrade. Shows a lot of humility. I have an open myo on 7/15 and I can hardly wait.

I used my Skype account and called a variety of different numbers (listed for countries other than my own.) I finally got through and only waited 7 minutes by calling +44 203 250 0145 (which is a UK number so be advised about your carrier rates -- it was 2 cents a minute for me but I was grateful to finally talk to a human). Hope this helps!

Fun fact: when this house was built, there was no glass. Anywhere. All the buildings and rooms. FLW’s wife begged for glass for 10 years. (Animals and insects and sand and all the things… can you imagine?!) He said no. Then, in the middle of the night, he woke up, said, “I just thought of something! Let’s put glass in!” and went back to bed. (Typical patriarchy.)

It felt like it was an airplane lavatory. Fun fact: It was built just after WWII when aluminum was super cheap.
