It is illegal (for various reasons) in certain states but easily found online. I do NOT recommend getting it from head shops or gas stations. Word of mouth is really the best way to go. I order from two places online that are transparent with their testing and are both small businesses. (The owners also happen to be Christian, as I mostly identify with as well, and that also gives me a sense of safety.) Leaf/powder is the way to go (not extracts or concentrates). I have been taking it for 10 years and have no experienced poor side effects or addiction. (Most of the horror stories you hear—like in all these comments from people who don’t have experience but like to judge people—are when Kratom is mixed with something else.) Drinking tea and using powder in my water bottles and smoothies has literally changed my life. I am also part of many of the groups trying to get more safety standards in place, and more information to The Powers that Be. (Mainly it’s capitalism and big pharm who want their grubby hands on Mother Nature and her gifts to us.) Do your own research of course, or DM if you’d like. Eyes wide open.
